Stayed here for one night. On arrival was impressed by grounds but very disappointed by the lobby/bar which I thought was bland and lacking in charm. It certainly lacks the "plush" factor. After being given a voucher for a birthday present, we went to Carton House the first time and could not reccomend the place enough. Ther staff were very pleasant, the setting is amazing and the standard of accommodation and service is as good as anything we have experienced in Ireland. If you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all Carton House is definitely the place. Only about 30mins from Dublin it's well signposted and easy to find.
