Stayed on a b&b plus dinner break recently. The hotel is like I said nice but the decor is very drab, all of greys and beige. Very busy hotel but efficient staff.room was very nice very clean lovely bathroom. Disappointed no robes or slippers supplied but next morning saw 5 year olds wearing some dragging along the ground at the... More

Check-in was smooth and quick, I made my way to my room which was very bright & spacious. The bathroom was lovely and with a deep bath and great shower with large head. It was my birthday and I had booked 2 treatments for my stay. The first was a chakra massage - which was in the evening and extremely... More

Had an overnight stay there last week with two friends and from the moment we walked through the front door it was five star quality all the way, from lunch to spa treatments to dinner to room and finally breakfast we could not fault it. The staff could not have been more helpful and made us feel very welcome nothing... More

As per comments from other reviewers - lobby/ bar seating area is freezing, we moved twice to try and get away form the drafts, but too no avail. Food was ok - service was very lax, both girls serving had absolutely no interest - it's a shame as this is an amazing property. Had the soup and chowder - soup... More

Beautiful place but not managed with guests in mind. Evening restuarant staff unhelpful at best, dinner not worth €45 per person, my friend had told me to bring thermals and I didnt believe her until I got there. Have stayed in 4 star hotels all over the world. Very disappointed wth this one.

Had a really enjoyable stay in this hotel recently. The hotel itself is a mixture of beautiful old buildings which are married perfectly with new ones. The drive in and setting of the hotel are fantastic, its hard to think when out for a walk in these surrounds that you are so close to Dublin city. We received excellent service... More

Our Afternoon Tea was booked a week in advance for 1pm Sat 17/1.. When we arrived we found our way to the Kitchen Bar and were shown to our seated area beside the unlit fire... After some confusion our server brought our pot of tea and poured...30 mins later our food arrived -we requested a second pot of tea as... More

This hotel comprises a beautiful series of buildings, old and new, superbly maintained and decorated and set in wonderful surroundings. However, the experience is seriously diminished by poorly trained and somewhat indifferent staff, and an absence of managers on the ground. We stayed one night and two days, but the service was patchy at best and downright slow at times... More
