We stayed in this B&B in Connemara during our holidys in Ireland, we changed some B&B because we moved by car to travel from city to city, but this was one of the best B&B! Nice host, Mr, Patrick, nice room and wonderful breakfast. We will come back as soon as possible We are a young couple from Italy

After being sick on t our trip for a few days, my husband and I were looking for a place we can rest in, while still being a good location for exploring Connamara. Dooneen Lodge fit the bill: Quite, peaceful, secluded but a short drive (15 -20 mins) to all the fun stuff and dining options. The room was spacious,... More

We stayed for two nights, the room was very spacious and the bed linen nice and fresh. The breakfast was amazing, great hospitality so homely the children had a ball, they loved the pancakes. The scenery is breath taking and Kyle more Abbey is just around the corner, so is Connermara National Park. We will be looking forward till our... More

We felt like we were treated like VIP's! The owner (Patrick) really wants his visitors to have a perfect comfortable stay! When we came to Letterfrack we first stayed a night at the old monastery (we are backpackers) but totally didn't like it there. So we searched for a better place and this one was the ultimate choice. We were... More

This stop came about halway through our 12 day whirlwind tour. We stayed at a variety of castles, hotels and B&B's. Noreen and Tom were wondeful hosts and extremely helpful offering advise on the area. The guest rooms were immaculate and charming. Our stay was a wonderful mix of modern facilities and old world charm. The breakfast was top notch.... More

We chose Letterfrack as our base for exploring the Connemara, and based on reviews in various guidebooks, we chose Dooneen Lodge for our stay. The price was higher than we initially wanted to pay, but Irish prices are all high, and once we got past the sticker shock, we decided to pamper ourselves a bit. No regrets at all that... More

My husband and I took a trip down to Letterfrack for the long weekend. We found Dooneen Lodge on the web and booked it hoping it was nice. We were very pleasantly suprised. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. The owner Patrick was a lovely person, really hospitable, who went out of his way to make our stay special. He... More

We stayed for 2 nights for my friend's wedding in Letterfrack, I have to say that the DOONEEN LODGE is the best B&B I've been stayed so far. The rooms are extremely clean and beautifully lay out; The breakfast is superb and very nice woodland around the B&B. There are so many nice things about this B&B that I can't... More

Dooneen Lodge. September 2007. We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Dooneen Lodge where we were really spoilt by Noreen and Tom. The booking process was prompt and easy and the directions absolutely reliable to reach there. The rooms were en-suite and really homely and comfortable, adequately heated and with coffee and tea making facilities. We were... More

By lucky chance we booked into this guesthouse last month when planning our weekend in Connemara and we struck gold! The whole weekend was wonderful and our accommodation helped make it so pleasurable. The rooms (we had 2 doubles) were clean, bright and well equipped and the house itself was warm and cheerful. It's set into a wooded hillside and,... More
