This place is a cosy pub/restaurant that you can really relax in and the food is fabulous! I brought friends here in April and they loved it. Unfortunately my steak was over cooked and by the time my new steak was ready my friends had finished their dinner. In saying that the staff were very apologetic and took my meal... More

I have been coming here every year since I was a child - I am now 27! I have seen it change hands so many times and sampled every menu. The draw has always been the incredible view and the friendly and accommodating staff, the food has always been good rather than exceptional. I went for dinner with my grandmother... More

Smugglers never lets you down! It has a wonderful atmosphere, the location is second to none and the food is great! The service isn't perfect but the staff are brilliant and when your in Rossnowlagh or any part of Donegal nothing is 'perfect', thats what makes it!!

Myself, husband along with two friends called here on Monday evening to see if we could have a table for dinner, we did not have a table booked but the owner managed to find one for us and I am so glad he did, what an amazing meal we had, the restaurant was fully booked which was surprising on a... I had visited here for food on a few occasions but hadn't stayed the night. We booked the room with the balcony overlooking the beach and loved it. A small room, pretty basic but clean and comfortable with ensuite. The balcony had table and chairs and a priceless view. The restaurant is very popular so be sure to book, lots... More

I recently had a meal in the restaurant as it was recommended to me. We seated ourselves and got our own menu as no staff around. We sat for 15 mins before any staff came over. While we could see the three staff walking around we had to call them to order. We had two main courses took about half... More

What a great place to stay high above the sea in Donegal. The beach is renowned for the surfing, but it's a great place to be just for the breath-taking scenery. This B&B was wonderful and the attached restaurant was so handy. The very best part of the experience were the warm and friendly owners. They truly made us feel... More

Whilst visiting my sister-in-law at her mobile home just a stones throw away from Smugglers, we booked a table for Monday evening. Thinking it would be quiet, we were amazed at the number if cars in the car park and on the road. having secured an appropriate and relatively safe place to park we went in through the new door... I visited smugglers creek on Sunday for Father's Day with my husband, mother and two children. I had booked a table by the window a month previously. When we arrived, we were seated at a lovely table by the window by a waiter, only for him to return and tell us we would have to move to another table. We... More

We spent both of our nights and an afternoon in the Smuggler's Bar while surfing in rossnowlagh in June. The bar is one of the nicest bars I've ever visited in Ireland with hands down the best view from a bar stool I have ever seen! Pints of craft beer made in Ballyshannon went down well with quality food which... More
