We stayed in the area for 2 nights and found this beautiful gem on the hill overlooking the bay. The atmosphere is fantastic and we were blessed with good weather and therefore a breathtaking sunset. The menu has plenty of choices and is all freshly cooked. Emily, front of desk, is so welcoming and gave us the best experience! I... More

After a lovely sunny day driving around Donegal me and my wife decided to go to Smugglers for a "nice" meal, we live not too far away, we ordered one bottle of wine, one starter to share and two main courses. The starter, Chicken Liver Pate was tasteless, I hade the Hake that was just ok, served with some kind... More

One of the best views from a restaurant I've seen anywhere in the world on my travels and great food.hidden gem about 5 mins from ballyshannon. Bring your togs as beside a great beach.Probably should book ahead if you have a large group.

Went for a weekend stay at smuggles creek inn the first weekend in January. We got lucky with the weather, sunshine all day long on Saturday. We booked the small self contained bunglow at the back of the Inn. It was prefect. Very clean, warm and offered us a bit more alone time when we wanted it. The bar has... More

Usual top notch service that you expect in an Irish pub. Reasonable prices. Fantastic view of the beach if you arrive early and bag a window seat. You need to reserve in high season but the food is worth it.

Breath taking location, a very warm welcome from all within, small rooms only 5 in total but more than adequate when you are there for the scenery and the good food and the CRAIC. We will be back soon with visitors. It is presently only open at the weekends so I recommend you book well in advance so not to... More

This was our second trip to Smuggler's Creek. It is such a nice, charming pub, with a fantastic restaurant attached. The food is really good - high quality. The view over the beach is magnificent. We stayed two nights in room 6, which was a good size room with a larger bathroom than expected. I'd really recommend this room. All... More
