I recently had a meal in the restaurant as it was recommended to me. We seated ourselves and got our own menu as no staff around. We sat for 15 mins before any staff came over. While we could see the three staff walking around we had to call them to order. We had two main courses took about half... More

What a great place to stay high above the sea in Donegal. The beach is renowned for the surfing, but it's a great place to be just for the breath-taking scenery. This B&B was wonderful and the attached restaurant was so handy. The very best part of the experience were the warm and friendly owners. They truly made us feel... More

Whilst visiting my sister-in-law at her mobile home just a stones throw away from Smugglers, we booked a table for Monday evening. Thinking it would be quiet, we were amazed at the number if cars in the car park and on the road. having secured an appropriate and relatively safe place to park we went in through the new door... I visited smugglers creek on Sunday for Father's Day with my husband, mother and two children. I had booked a table by the window a month previously. When we arrived, we were seated at a lovely table by the window by a waiter, only for him to return and tell us we would have to move to another table. We... More

We spent both of our nights and an afternoon in the Smuggler's Bar while surfing in rossnowlagh in June. The bar is one of the nicest bars I've ever visited in Ireland with hands down the best view from a bar stool I have ever seen! Pints of craft beer made in Ballyshannon went down well with quality food which... More

In reviewing places on Tripadvisor, as you can see from my other reviews, I place a huge emphasis on NOT taking us, the customers, for granted. I’m not a reviewer who goes out to find fault. In fact, I really try to be fair and unbiased. It is from this standpoint that this review is written. There are, for me,... More

€45 for double room is far too expensive considering that it didn't even have a wardrobe or that we couldn't even have a shower as it was so cold - yes there's a fab view but these are basic needs. Considering how beautiful the food is in the restaurant the breakfast was awful & even though full plates were being... More

I stayed with my father for two nights in March and we had a wonderful time. The location is superb, just overlooking the bay. Staff, led Emily, are fantastic as nothing is too much trouble. As usual the food was delicious and certainly a place to stay in again. Our room was bright and clean and more than adequate. Excellent... More
