I always loved the smugglers creek, the view of Donegal bay is amazing.... We were there on Sunday 13th April. We just walked in & got a great table looking out on the bay. They are in the middle of building an extension. We had a lovely meal, starters were fantastic.... Main course was very good, but the portion of... More

Finally returned to the Creek using a Christmas 2012 gift voucher which Emily had generously extended. We were pre-warned that the conservatory, which was being extended, would be inaccessible. This didn't detract at all from our weekend. Our en-suite room was warm, clean and comfortable, no T.V., thank God. The bar/restaurant staff, Michelle Ailing and Martin, were very efficient and... This is one of my most favourite places on earth. You only need to have a glass of wine/ pint of Guinness / cup of tea outside to know why. Winter or summer Nature enthrals. Change in management here a few years ago has probably changed the ambience a bit (the previous owner might have driven you home at the... More

Been back more than once. Immense sea views in a relaxed warm friendly atmosphere. The food is impeccable, cant find any faults with this place. Be sure to book as its always booked up. Worth it though. My favorite restaurant in Donegal

I shared Room 1, a twin, with a friend. In terms of value I think 30e as oppose to 35e per person would have been better value as the room is quite small for 2 (didn't fit a wardrobe). The decor was simple & welcoming. Good bed linen & bathroom towels. And the room & en suite were very clean.... More

My wife and I booked a table at the Smugglers as we were warned that the tables are quickly taken. This out-of-the-way restaurant has commanding views of the beautiful Rossnowlagh shoreline. You need to take a narrow lane to it and even though there's a car park, it offers limited spaces and you may be forced to park on the... More

I live in the locality and had heard mixed reviews so decided to check it out. Very dissapointed with food, chips were underdone, veg also undersone and not enough of either. The view is gorgeous but food does not match up, will not be back..........

Stayed here for a wedding with my family and really enjoyed the experience. Me and my husband stayed in the cottage and my sons and daughter stayed in the rooms above the bar. Really comfortable and quaint and the views over the strand were breathtaking. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

We spent a great few hours strolling along the vast beach in Rossnowlagh, having driven our cars onto the beach to join the many already there. On our return we dropped into the Smugglers Creek where parking was plentiful. The pub is welcoming and spacious and the staff were friendly & obliging. We opted to snack & drink outside in... More
