Anthony & Pauline are lovely hosts and hardworking, the breakfasts were good, the front corner room where I stayed had beautiful views and it was a great place to stay and catch up with myself after 10 busy days of touring Dublin & Donegal. My only concern was that my room was not serviced on my day between my two... more

Would highly recommend this guest house. The staff are very well mannered and extremely friendly. The location provides panoramic views over Rossnawlagh beach for rooms to the front of the property and the accommodation itself was very clean. Highly recommended if you wish to to relax and unwind from those daily stressors with everything you need on site from bar... more

It was an absolute delight staying at this family run operation - Anthony & Pauline McNicholl are incredible hosts. Forget the Snugglers next door for dinner and just stay right here in their dining room. Pauline is an outstanding cook. The front rooms have the most incredible, panoramic views of Donegal Bay and the dining room is all opened up... more

I recently spent two nights at Ardnamara with 3 generations of family. The rooms were simple but very comfortable, the bathrooms newly renovated. From our front-facing rooms we had incredible views of the beach, the sunset and the mountains across the bay. Breakfast was excellent and the owners and their staff were delightful. We had everything we needed at a... more

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Ardnamara Guesthouse during our 2 week journey in Ireland and Northern Ireland. The owners were extremely nice to us and the property location was very scenic and peaceful. It was a perfect place to relax and truly enjoy being on vacation. The views of both the ocean and... more

We stayed here as two singles with surfing lessons booked on the adjacent beach. Anthony and Pauline were very friendly and hospitable throughout our stay. They made us feel very welcome. The location is ideal and the environment enchanting. Easy access to a range of activities including surfing, yoga, hiking, cycling and swimming! more

We recently had a very enjoyable 1 night stay at Ardnamara. The property enjoys a wonderful location with fab views of the bay. We had everything we needed in the room and everything was clean. Breakfast was fantastic and the owner Anthony was a great host - very friendly and helpful. Neighbouring restaurant Smugglers Creek was disappointing food wise. Bland... more

On our second trip to Rossnowlagh, we stayed at the Ardnamara again. We enjoyed our visit to Rossnowlagh and the Ardnamara as much the second time as we did on the first time. The bedrooms are nicely decorated. Both the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious with plenty of room to spread out necessities. We were warmly greeted by Anthony and... more

A prime location affording a grand panorama looking north over Donegal Bay to the distant hills with the surf- swept sand of Rossnowlagh Strand in the foreground, just a stroll away, hence, Ard-na- Mara. Only those guests rooming in the front have this view. There are no public rooms, save a small "observatory" with comfortable seating for 3 persons, cramped for 4... more

The secret's out this is THE PLACE to stay in Donegal bay. It has all the ingredients for a perfect holiday, stunning location, breathtaking views and great hosts.
