I stayed at the Sandhouse Hotel recently and I really enjoyed it. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. When we arrived we were shown to our room. The room was very spacious, nicely decorated and, most importantly, it had a wonderful view of the long beach. The hotel itself if a lovely building - the inside is full of... more

Rooms nice and modern although bathrooms small and no room to place toothbrush etc. View from rooms excellent, Shame that the restaurant is on the wrong side of the hotel facing the car park and not the beautiful seaview. Food strictly average and the waiting staff seemed bored and started preparing the tables for breakfast at 08.00pm when we were... more

Sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay at the Sandhouse. Thank you for your comments that will be considered carefully. Would like to assure you that the butter was not on the table overnight. The butter that is taken back from the table goes in the bin. Thank you.

NICE SETTING

My Father came from Donegal so I wanted to stay somewhere where I could visit his birthplace,I found this hotel via GOIRELAND.COM. We like to treat ourselves for short breaks so we booked a sea front room with a four poster. It was pretty much impossible to fault the hotel,we were treated to a tour of the hotel before settling... more

This hotel was the second hotel my wife and I stayed at on a recent getaway to Northern Ireland and Ireland. We stayed first at the Holiday Inn Express, Antrim and visited Belfast and the Giant's Causeway. Then on to Donegal and the Sandhouse, just for one night. I checked this hotel out via Tripadvisor and then the hotel's website.... more

This hotel is just outstanding. The staff are the most hospitable people I have meet on my extended travels. The views across Rossnowlagh beach from the bedrooms are beautiful and breathtaking. The hotel has numerous alcoves where you can relax and read a book or enjoy a peaceful drink. Its an old world hotel with antique furniture and is not... more

Myself and my wife decided on a pampering break away from our kids for a weekend and came across the Sandhouse Hotel on the internet. We booked a Superior Sea View room and on our arrival were rewarded with most beautiful views over a deserted beach at high tide. We were treated so well from checkin when we were shown... more

This is an 'olde world' hotel with the most wonderful views of the expansive beach and ocean of North West Donegal. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was outstanding - it is so nice to actually get a menu and have breakfast served as opposed to the typical stodgy buffet we have come accustomed to. The service was excellent,... more
