Stayed here at the weekend and were welcomed by a friendly lady who showed us to a nice clean well presented room with a beautiful view of the ocean. The hotel itself has a wonderful location on the beach. We had a few drinks in the bar which is a bit of a nightmare to access as I'm sure it could be... We have eaten at the Sandhouse Hotel a few times over the summer months and each time the food has been better than the previous, last Saturday night was the best yet, they have just changed the menu and all 5 of us had the venison. With a nice bottle of wine, excellent staff and good service, what more could... More

I have read all the reviews and I must have been just unlucky. I got a room with a fantastic view and I really mean fantastic view. But that is where the good experience ended. Our Room was old and dirty. I am not a picky person but it was just not cleaned properly. Black hairs in the bathroom. ..... More

Lovely hotel in a beautiful scenic setting. The view from our room was amazing and the staff are very friendly and efficient. I would absolutely go back here to stay. Lovely place for a couples weekend away or to bring the family. Hotel leads down onto a fabulous smooth sandy beach.

Stayed here for one night during the summer. Our room was gorgeous with amazing sea views. We had a meal included in our deal and that was lovely however my boyfriends steak was over done. The views from where dinner and breakfast is served are amazing. The hotel is a little out dated and it is fairly pricey however I... More

We had a lovely meal here in September with our extended family. The staff went out of their way to look after us & the service was first class. The food was 5-star standard. Great lively music in The Surfers Bar.We will definitely be dining here again in the near future.

It's always difficult to be objective when the reason for staying at a hotel is a family wedding; it's easy to get caught up in the moment and see things through 'rose tinted' glasses. Even given this, I loved it here; and the food was astounding: the Donegal Bay seafood (which may well have been a special dish) was one... More

The location of the Hotel is what sets this place apart. It's one of the great views for an Irish hotel looking out over Rossnowlagh strand. We were lucky in that we had one of those blue sky days both on arrival and the next morning when you peel back the curtains for the first time and see the deep... More

This hotel has a superb location facing out onto a wide sandy surfing beach about 10 miles South of Donegal Town. There is free car parking outside the hotel. This is a holiday area and there are a lot of caravans and holiday homes around. The hotel is the best place to stay and probably the focal point of the... More
