We had a superior sea view room, while the decor is a bit dated and in need of some fresh paint, the ocean view was one of the best I've seen, and made the cost of the room well worth while, breakfast was plentiful, though over cooked, even the poached egg was hard boiled egg standard.

Stayed here for two nights. Had a wonderful stay, the rooms, the staff, the meals, the service, everthing was just perfect. We called to the hotel without a reservation, there was only one small room available. The receptionist showed it to us, apologizing for the small size, it was perfect. We were moved to a bigger room the following day.... More

Disappointed with dated, drab decor in this hotel. Musty smell from room on first floor. Furniture very shabby. Bathroom very compact. Floorboards creaking throughout. Electrical socket by bed not working. Dining room however was lovely. Go early to get a good window seat. Food for breakfast and dinner lovely and well priced. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Location on... More

Stayed here for two nights recently and loved the whole experience. We had a room with a magnificent sea view. The room itself was very spacious and the furnishings old but we liked that. The food was lovely and the staff excellent. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay here. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here again this time. I cannot praise this hotel enough and the excellent staff and management . The view from our sea view room cannot really be described in words, you really have to experience it for yourself. The food is excellent served in the ocean view... More

This is a lovely hotel set in a beautiful part of the country and they've managed to blend an old & modern feel to the surroundings which is quite unique. The staff were fantastic and our room overlooking the sea was both clean and spacious. The food in the restaurant was very good quality. The only gripe we had was... More

This was the second time we had stayed at The Sandhouse and it did not disappoint. We stayed in a Deluxe Sea View room and it was great, really spacious, spotlessly clean, super comfy bed and of course the spectacular views of the sea. The breakfast was wonderful, cooked fresh to order. The only downside is that although there is... More

Had an amazing stay in this hotel - would thoroughly recommend it to anyone considering it and I am already planning a trip back. The bed in my room was astonishingly comfortable - so much so that I want to find out where they sourced them from as I want one for my house!! My only gripe was about the... More

Really nice setting on the beach and booked a deluxe sea view room, which also was also very nice. However, we had a horrible first night due to the noise. Located near the bar, there was very loud music in the bar until 2 am and then once that was finished, we were left with the hotel's beer garden which... More
