I don't normally write reviews but I promised myself on this occasion I would. We arrived at the hotel on a horrible wet windy evening (in August!!!) to be greeted by a lovely warm glowing fire in the reception area. We were checked in by the very friendly girl on reception who then showed us to our room. Firstly when... More

We arrived at the weekend at this hotel and was greeted by an older lady in reception. She was very friendly and smiled a lot. The staff were incredibly friendly, however this is not a 4 star hotel. It has great potential as the view onto the beach are spectacular. The rooms were long and wide, old carper, bathroom was... More

Stayed at The Sandhouse for a special family event. Had beautiful seaview rooms with combination of rooms that suited all couples and children, including dog. Great staff and very attentive service, great food ( breakfast, evening meal and Sunday lunch), fabulous beach and surf , all enjoyed the relaxing sofas and fireplace. Thank you Elizabeth and Maggie and all the... More

We arrived at The Sandhouse after a long drive from Northern Ireland. It was a welcome site and a pleasant one. We were made very welcome and the Hotel and its location was impressive, our room was huge! and the ocean view from the window was awesome. We ate at the hotel restaurant and the meals were great. We would... More

We chose this hotel on a recent road trip around Ireland and Northern Ireland. We arrived a little late after visiting the spectacular Slieve League - we were shown straight to our rooms and were told even though late the restaurant would be available to us. The hotel has a fantastic position (this is why I booked), we chose a... More

Had an enjoyable one night stay at this hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Upgraded to a sea view room overlooking the stunning beach.Breakfast in the restaurant was one of the best during our stay in Ireland and was served to the table by very friendly waiting staff. We didn't eat in the restaurant on our only evening in the hotel as... More

First time here and we loved it. Our room had a fantastic sea view( think most rooms have)but you should check when booking. Breakfast was table service which I like and was excellent with staff that will do their best to make everything as good as possible for you. I noted dogs were allowed, so might take mine next time.
