This is a very nice 3 star hotel. The staff throughout all areas of the hotel were very friendly and professional. It was great to see local permanent staff working there. The breakfast was lovely and there is a great view of the harbour (fishing trawlers) from the breakfast room and bar. The hotel is only 11 years old, and... More

From a business traveller's point of view, this hotel could not be better. Helpful staff, great bar food, and the room wifi works well. The rooms are warm, comfortable, and clean, and everything works the way it should. There is a comfortable, friendly atmosphere which is so different from the often soulless commercial hotels I have stayed in. The staff... More

We have just returned from a pleasant stay at the Tara Hotel. Our living social voucher bought for us as a gift, entitled us to a double room. The room was a decent enough size with a lovely view of the harbour. I was disappointed though as I had emailed ahead and asked for us to be upgraded to a... More

Stayed for work purposes. Good location, nice room, friendly staff and a very tasty dinner. There is a good menu to chose from and the dining area looks nicely over the harbour area. I requires some assistance from staff and they were great - couldn't have done more.

A lovely relaxing hotel which was perfect to come back to at the end of a busy day. The rooms were spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. I haven't stayed anywhere before where the staff have been so friendly. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and excellent service. Beautiful surrounding scenery. We will definitely be returning.

Can't fault the staff and the location couldn't be better. We booked the harbour view double room with breakfast . The view was brilliant but at a sacrifice for the noise of the main road and the trawlers. It was valentines night so the hotel was quite full.the couple in the next room to us weren't in the right spirit... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for his birthday and had a great time. Really have no faults for this hotel, it's modern with free parking. Well designed and rooms are lovely, ask for a sea view room if possible! Really quiet tons which is perfect for relaxing. Staff were so friendly and helpful, special mention to Joe (I think... More

Was staying for originally 1 day, there are cheaper places around town, but only a BnB, here you have pretty much all the comforts of home. There is a bar in the hotel, it has a great selection of food at reasonable prices, there are other bars with in walking/staggering distance.
