This is a great spot for lunch on the way to the ferry on ringaskiddy - great meals at lunch time, friendly service and you can park your car outside and keep an eye on it from the front of the restaurant. Nice kids meals including coloring while you wait. Fish menu - ++++

I was in this small hotel for a business trip, although the room was quite small, the comfort was good. It's outdated, but everything’s functional. The breakfast was awesome, had the scrambled egg's with salmon, freshly brewed coffee and fresh juice. The restaurant "next" door offers a variety of (local) food & draft beers. For sure I will go back... More

Decided to book a table in the restaurant and from start to finish we were not disappointed. Greeted by a very friendly waiter who took our order from the Sunday lunch menu which was €30 for three courses excellent value. We all ordered our three courses and have to say the food was served promptly, we were not waiting around.... More

Average, so average... I have been going here for years on and off..... I've had a few hits and misses, but tonight topped it for me on the misses front, hence my write-up. The waitress we had seemed disinterested, so much so, even though she confirmed twice with me that I wanted a chicken curry, I ended up with a... More

Had a family lunch here recently after a long absence. Was delighted to find the food and service as good as I remembered. Excellent children's menu. Copious quantities and very tasty. The little round tables are not conducive to a family meal however and it might be worth considering providing more tables suitable for greater than two diners in the... More

This is a fantastic family run business. I travel to Cork once a month and always stay at the Bosun as they look after you so well. We normally eat in the bar in the evening and the food and service is always excellent, Don is always very professional and friendly. My highlight is always the most fantastic Irish breakfast... I've been staying at the Bosun for over 20 years and always go out of my way to spend time there. I hadn't been for 2 or 3 years but business in Cork gave me to opportunity to book a room. Unfortunately they were fully booked, but I was asked to leave my mobile number & Nicky emailed me to... More

Having dined here on numerous occasions in the last 5 years, I visited recently with a supplier form the UK. We opted to eat from the Bar Menu which offers a good selection of Seafood and conventional fare. We were welcomed on arrival by attentive staff, and the service was first class, our starters and mains were of outstanding quality,... More

The Bosun had been recommended to us so we went there for dinner - a little pricey but the food was very good. I had a steak sandwich on ciabatta bread with vintage white cheddar cheese. Nice atmosphere!

We had visited the The Bosun Restaurant many years ago and had very happy memories about the food, it was a packed full restaurant and still provided perfectly cooked and tasty food. Unfortunately no so on this visit, for starters the Restaurant had only 2 tables with customers as we arrived ( may be a warning already ?), but the... More
