We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bayview Hotel. The views, any time of day, are wonderful, and the evening meal we had in the hotel restaurant was one of the best I have ever had. Breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the serene bay, is a memory that will stay with me. Highly recommended.

Visited the Bayview for a few days over Easter. Can not speak highly enough of it. Rooms were clean and fantastic view of the sea. Bar food was not your typical pub grub and was delicious. Waiters were very friendly and Olan in particular was so welcoming. All the staff were more than helpful and the extra touch of an... More

My husband and I spent two great nights in the lovely relaxing Bayview, our fourth stay. The ladies at reception remembered us and gave us a great welcome back, as did some of the bar staff. All the staff were friendly and genuinely warm during our stay. We tried both bar food and dining room for dinner. Both were excellent.Great... More

We have just returned from a family easter weekend break which our daughters booked as a surprise. We were blessed with wonderful weather and discovered the Bayview to be perfectly situated in the pretty seaside village of Ballycotton for wonderful ocean views and great cliff top walking and in the evening enjoyed the Guiness and live music in the Blackbird... On our girls trip around Ireland, we booked two rooms at a decent price and it included breakfast. Instead of staying in Cork, we opted to stay near the ocean and we chose this hotel which was about 45 minute drive from Cork. The hotel is located in the center of the seaside town…which we walked all over after we... More

We stopped at Bayview on the last night they were open for the season so I understood when they were out of the wine I prefer and ketchup at dinner or even the sparse continental breakfast served at a not so shabby price but I was totally unprepared for the outrageous charge for laundry. When I inquired at the desk... More

Firstly, I vacate every summer in this region and,my first time staying in this hotel (it was a gifted present). The positives - stunning scenery overlooking the bay and lighthouse, quaint bar ,small snooker table , and reading room with lovely views of the bay, spectacular cliff walks nearby, nice restaurant breakfast. The negatives - Evening dinner is only served... More

We stayed here for two nights, eating in house on both evenings. Some of the previous reviews are not very flattering but we found it fine for our purposes....... as a base for walking. True our room was a bit dated and tired but clean, and when we left our do not disturb sign out by mistake when we were out... More

Stayed in the Bayview last weekend with my fiancee. We'd a terrible experience. Stayed in room 103. Room had an awful musty smell,so much so that we had to buy scented candles. Cream Carpet destroyed in stains & rips. Bathroom in need of a serious revamp. Breakfast left a lot to be desired & food in bar area was ridiculously... More

I have no doubt that this was a lovely hotel at one point in time but now to us, it seemed dated and tired. We checked in and I tried to make a reservation in the restaurant and were promptly advised that the restaurant was closed for the evening. We had no advance warning of this so were rather disappointed.... More
