I was lately in the bar and the service was slow and the looked like it came from a skip And i do agree with horatio about the price They are way over priced for a bar The location is nice but needs a better chief and better food supply

Horatiocaine 1.............what is wrong with your taste buds? I do not get the review from the aforementioned reviewer at all and it is not fair, really not fair. A review like that does no favours for a hardworking business that is a family run pub doing food whose owners obviously work so hard to make sure customers are happy. This... More

Stayed here June 2014 whilst visiting family . Mike is a very welcoming host , always aiming to make your stay better ! I can't comment on the food as I didn't eat here but my room was extremely clean and comfortable and I would recommend staying here .

We had our wedding in Ballycotton in July 2013, and had a meal for 15 people in the Schooner Tavern the night before. Mike, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating. The food is hearty pub grub, huge portions and quite reasonably priced.

Myself and my partner stayed here over a weekend and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The bar is lovely, with a great selection of beers and drinks. The food is hearthy and tasty! Fish goujons in particular were delicious with the lime and basil dip! Our room was warm, clean and served our needs! The couple who own the... More

Owner was very friendly. He gave us books to look at about the history of Ballycotton and was able to recommend things in the area. There was a wood burning fire and delicious beer. All the local patrons were friendly.

My wife and I have just had another very relaxing time with Brid, Michael & family over the Halloween long weekend, which we extended. As usual, it was a delight to stay here and as usual the home cooked food was just great. Ballycotton is a wonderful place if you want the quiet life, ie, far removed from the maddening... More

After riding a motorcycle around the circumference of the island and staying at numerous small town taverns, this was by far my favorite stop. Mike and Brid are probably the warmest people I met on my trip to Ireland and that's saying something. Great people, beautiful place and great food. The room was clean, nice and had free wifi. Mike... More
