Like many budget guest houses in Iceland, the exterior is unassuming. However once inside you discover a modern and well equipped guesthouse. Although breakfast is not included there is a good kitchen area. The showers were great and everywhere very clean. We had a large family room which was great. We were late arriving, but the owner was very accommodating... More

We stayed here for one night on our way around the Ring Road. It was a great deal, much cheaper than most of the other places we stayed in Iceland. It was very clean and the room was a decent size. The bathrooms are shared and there is a kitchen for anyone's use. It is pretty much a hostel. There... More

We ended up in Egilsstadir unexpectedly after a car accident and the owner was extremely kind and accommodating, even going to buy ice for our bruises! The guesthouse itself is clean and modern, well furnished kitchen and very comfortable rooms. The atmosphere is a little quieter but we were also there before peak season. Highly recommend to anyone staying overnight... More

We stayed 1 night in Egilsstadir and chose this hotel based on the price. Definitely a great choice! The owner/host was one of the nicest people I've ever met. You could tell he really appreciated the business. The hotel itself was spotless and modernly decorated. The rooms were spacious and clean. We didn't use the kitchen facilities, but I would... More

We stayed in Lyngas Guesthouse for 1 night during ring road drive. First of all the city of Eglisstadir is pretty boring, so it is better to stay somewhere else overnight. About guesthouse: Located in front of a gas station, within a long walk from a couple of bonus and another supermartet and a restaurant. There is literary nothing to... More

We stayed at this guesthouse for one night and we enjoyed our stay! The guesthouse is very modern and clean. The rooms are spacious - two twin beds pushed together (like most Icelandic hotels), big windows and a desk with a TV. The shower & bathroom are in the hallway, but even those are spacious! Kitchen and common room were... More

We stayed here for one night with half a full house. The pros: cheap, central location, & super clean! The cons: We had the twin room which was faces the road and the window vibrates every time a car drives by!!! Super soft beds, only 1 bath & toilet which gets very busy in the morning. Tip: Bonus supermarket is... More

This was my second visit to the Guest house. The first time my mother and I were all alone on the second floor. This time it was full to the gills. We still had a great time and were grateful for a super clean facility, well appointed kitchen and nice linens. It is nice when traveling with mixed company to... More

1 night in this guesthouse in a not a so nice building but all 1st floor has been fully fitted for receiving visitors (kitchen, showers, lounge ...) It is very clean, and staff is ready to advise, support ... You will have the choice to ask for bed linen or to sleep in your sleeping bag according to your budget.... More

this was easily the best guesthouse or hostel we used across iceland. Large rooms, spacious common areas, excelleng kitchen and dining area, spic and span, very helpful staff. It was by far better than all other hostels.
