It was rainy and cloudy and the only thing to do was to get some rest at the hotel. we went in and almost immediately felt like coming home. The habit to take our shoes off, the kindness of Fredric and his wife, the cake at afternoon tea and the arrangement of the guesthouse gave us that great feeling. We... More

This guesthouse incorporates a modern church which is unusual, but our family had 2 twin rooms directly off the church which made for a very peaceful stay. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. As other reviewers have said, there are only 2 toilets upstairs, but there is an additional room downstairs with a row of toilet cubicles, so it... More

Great place to spend a few nights at. Lovely service and surroundings! Close to many of the must-see attractions in the area! One of the best places we stayed at during our trip around Iceland! The farm house feeling plus the friendly staff made this guesthouse unforgettable for us

My boyfriend and I stayed at this charming guesthouse on our road trip around Iceland. We truly enjoyed the beautiful view, the comfortable room and the nice hike around the area! And above all the excellent service of the staff that works there! The day after we checked out, I noticed that I had forgotten my glasses at the guesthouse... More

We were only staying the one night, which is a shame in retrospect given the gorgeous surroundings. The room was clean and spacious, we had a nice little balcony. The showers and toilets, although outside the room, were clean and completely acceptable. Owners were very friendly, and the breakfast was basic but actually quite varied. Quiet, clean, friendly, and comfortable.... More

A rather large guesthouse set in a quiet area off the ring road. Nice views towards the river that runs nearly through the backyard, some local walks on the premises. On the downside you can hear every word of your neighbours and if people are talking in the common areas, you'll have quite a hard time sleeping.

Nice, clean, quiet place. Breakfast was basic. Shared bathrooms and toilets were separate and very clean and spacious. However, there were only 2 showers and 2 toilets for 10 rooms... not really sufficient. Rooms were modern, clean and had a wash basin and mirror. Atmosphere was a bit stifling because it was so quiet. Sound-proofing wasn't good enough. Wifi doesn't... More

This place was nice and well kept. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was a bit ordinary. The number of showers for the number of guests was a bit low, but. at least they were separated from WC so that there was less waiting. The location was very nice with lots to do around. The only thing I didn't like was... More

This was a very clean guesthouse! The service was very good and the rooms were well kept. We had a room with a balcony that was nice to step onto in the evening for a lovely view. I liked how the shared facilities (showers and WCs) were separate from each other, no need to wait for the shower if someone... More

A clean and modern guesthouse that could do so much more - the rooms are not en suite and the shared toilets and showers are insufficient (2 showers and toilets for 10 twin rooms), yet there is so much space every room could easily be made en suite. A very isolated location and a shame as many tours arrive in... More
