We had been stuck due to snow in Akureyri so our 3 night break was 1. The usual guide wasn't available and Kristian was great. He managed to pack in as much as possible in the short time we had. Hotel is along the lake so nice view from the window. Dinner had limited menu of 1 choice of each... More

We booked a " Winter Nature Break " ( 4 days ) at the hotel Reynihlid and stayed in Myvatn mid Feb. 2014. We enjoyed our break very much. The hotel Manager, Petur and his staff made us feel very welcome. Our room was very large and overlooking the lake and benefited of free Wi-Fi. The food in the restaurant... More

This was our most expensive night in Iceland. The good news is that it is in the heart of a very beautiful area and it is the least expensive place I could find. The room was clean but ordinary. The breakfast was OK but not up to the standards of other places we stayed. The restaurant next door was fun... More

Rooms: clean, neat, good beds. Bathtub is tiny, i mean real tiny... Staff: extremely helpfull and good service. Internet: Free Wifi in all rooms. We were here in the winter and we took a trip with the snowscooter. A fun experience, since the guides let you go off track and full speed (>120 Kmph!). A lot of walking and climbing... More

.... and evereyone else. I've stayed at this hotel at least ten times, and I recommend it highly. I've stayed there when photographing birds at Myvatn lake, and the location is perfect! It's just 100 meters from a brilliant photo spots. The staff is extremely helpful and their knowledge of the area is good. After my first visit, I've stayed... More

A really good base to explore the Lake Myvatn area and beyond. There are so much to do in that part of Iceland. There is nothing special about this hotel but there is also nothing wrong with it. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is good but the resources are limited. Being there during off season could have something to... More

A very comfortable and friendly place. The staff were very helpful when I had to amend my stay and refunded me for one night when really they did not have to. My only problem was that on arrival on the first night I asked to be directed to the restaurant and they sent me across the road to a diner... More

Our group stayed here for three nights-do to a full gale (winds 50+mph with gusts to 80 mph), In spite of the howling wind my room was very quiet with no wind leaking around the windows in spite of the storm-this was not the case in another hotel. The internet was very fast which helped with entertainment while being basically... More

Awesome breakfast, very comprehensive information about the Myvatn area by person at front desk. Nice location near the church, the lava fields and the lake. Good bistro next door. Would definitely book again. - Good internet in the room.
