We stayed at Doupiani for only one night and we chose it because it was well reviewed on the Lonely guide, but it was a problem from the beginning. We booked online on the site of the hotel (their own site!!) on the 12 of june for the 4th of august. We receive immediately a reply with the details of... More

After a Disappointing one-night stay, I decided to do some research on reviews for the specific hotel, only to find out other people with similar experiences. Despite the nice views, the hotel had major flaws, perhaps four of the most important ones being: • Bathroom didn't have a shower screen • Poor breakfast • Unfriendly management • Poor sound insulation... We stayed here in a beautiful front room with a balcony overlooking the interesting rock formations. The town is within easy walking distance and there are many restaurants and cafés. The monasteries are a very convenient short drive away and it is also possible to access the old monk paths of Meteora from the guesthouse. Breakfast was very disappointing in... More

Poor breakfast (low quality products), room is basic especially the bathroom, location is great but many other hotels offer the same. We had to pay extra money as we did not want to pay cash (so that they could not escape taxes)

The views from the front facing rooms are amazing, it's worth spending the extra 14 euros per day for the view. It's a great base to visit the monasteries, you'll need a car to get to the sites. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast was reasonable. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom.

Perfect location to enjoy the mountains. The place is very well kept, with rustic ambiance and exceptional views. Deceptively much farther away from the train station that new originally thought, we had to carry our luggage to Kalambaka's square and take a cab. Don't attempt to walk to the hotel if you have luggage!! Management was nice, the breakfast was... More

This is a lovely hotel in Kastraki close to the monasteries and with lovely views of the rocks. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. It's easy to find being well signposted from the centre of the village. It's off the main road so there is no traffic noise from coaches going to the... More

We spent a couple nights here to see the monasteries in Meteora. This was a very nice place in a good location, up more in the hills than in the town. We took a train from Athens and then took a 5 minute cab ride to this hotel from the station. We were given a choice of rooms. The hotel... More
