Very good value for money, good location, the cliffs can be seen through the window and at the same time situated in the real center of the town . The staff is kind and friendly, there are airconditions in the rooms. The breakfast is pretty poor, but again fir the pric paid-ok.

It's very great location and good service. They are so friendly, and they would give you nice advise. There are many restaurants around this hotel, you may not too worry about having lunch or dinner. The price is cheap and the room is clean. It's good to stay this hotel.

While travelling with motorcycles we stayed for one night. It's a reasonable hotel downtown, with free wlan and good service. Electricity did not work in our first room. We got a new one.... It's OK for the price, but do not expect too much luxary...

Please do NOT stay here! The rooms are small and dirty! The aircon works when it wants to! The shower was cold! Wi- Fi is slow as a wet weekend ! We paid for 2 nights and walked out after the first night and booked into a beautiful hotel in Kastraki! The hotel received a bus load of tourists, they... More

Very different from the photos in their website. The room was very dirty, we found spots and hair on the sheets, the heating wasn't working and the room was cold, the bathroom had poor lighting and it was smelly. They didn't know how to use credit card. There were no roof garden facilities. Location good, staff friendly.

We stayed here for one night, and would have stayed two but a tour group was coming through so there were no rooms available. Our room had a fantastic view of the rocks of Meteora, and it was very conveniently located. The man at the desk helpfully found us a fridge for our stay, and made sure we could park... More

I stayed in this hotel yesterday for a night. Location wise, it is fine. The hotel locates in a small town near to restaurants, mini markets, tourist centre and etc. The hotel is about 3 stars graded. The room is big and we have a hill view room too. The staff, Yanis is very friendly and helpful. He gave us... More

I went to Kalambaka in July 2013 - I had great expectations and unfortunately I was disappointed. First of all if you are lucky you can have a view over the Meteora, if not you have a view of an old scruffy building just next to your balcony! The second thing - the bathroom was in a horrible state -... More

The location at the end of town was very nice with good views of the Meteora. The room layout was very comfortable, but needs to be updated. The balcony was nice size. The breakfast had very limited choices and what was available wasn't very tasty. A good value place to stay if you are not looking to be "wowed" by... More

Hotel Rex is one of the most established 3 stars hotels in Kalambaka. It is situated in the centre of the Kalampaka town with all facilities and in a location which connects directly with the town and the road to the monasteries of Meteora. Looking to the rocks on the east you can see the monasteries of St. Stephanos and Saint Trinity (Ayia Trias). On these rocks, the James Bond film “For Your Eyes Only” was filmed featuring Roger Moore and Carole Bouquet in 1979. On the west side you can see the very long range of Pindos with the famous Aspropotamos (White River) area and its mountainous villages which provide a unique view for nature-lovers. ... more   less
