Part of a three-day tour, this was a comfortable hotel, good rooms, but long walks. Built like an old monastery it certainly was interesting. while the location was beautiful, unless you had a car you could not get to the center of town except by cab. Spacious lobby with plenty of sitting areas. Hotel often full with bus tours. Despite all the tours, there always seems to be available rooms. Large pool area. Clean. Internet service. My husband and I were surprised how large the Amalia Hotel outside of Kalambaka was. The lobby is huge and there is a beautiful pool area and two very lovely pubs.
