The beds felt like a box spring - maybe when the mattress was used up they just left the box spring to sleep on!!! Dark décor and very hot. We had to change rooms but the air conditioning did not keep up with the heat anywhere in the hotel. No fans were even available!!! The hallways were sweltering. At least... More

We chose Hotel Amalia in Kalambaka as our base for exploring the fantastic monasteries of Meteora. We wanted a pool to cool off after a hard day of sightseeing. The Amalia pool area was lovely with a nice big pool. The rooms in the hotel were of a good standard and our junior suite had two separate rooms; the second... More

The room we had was in bad shape with electrical outlets pulled out of the wall, weak air conditioning and a tub drain that didn't drain much. However, the dinner and breakfast buffets were amazing. The grounds were good for casual walks and the pool was a favorite hanging out place.

Large hotel decorated with antique furnishings in common areas. The guest room was spacious with fridge and safe along with a pretty balcony . There was a large buffet for my tour group with a wide selection. the Wifi was spotty - didn't work in my guest room in the evening but was fine in the morning. Other tour members... More

The booking of this hotel was made through a tour company. Had no idea what to expect. Huge place with many rooms, bar, swimming pool and very large grounds with numerous fruit trees. The rooms were very comfortable. The dinner was excellent. Lots to choose from and breakfast was also delicious.

Nice hotel with very large lobby, excellent pool and bar. The room I stayed in on the ground floor opened direct in to the garden which was unusual. The restaurant served good food with very helpful staff but very noisy with the many tour groups eating there. Nice bar and outside sitting area beside a very large pool. Beverages very... More

Stayed at this hotel as it had been pre-booked by our motorcycle club for two events. It turns out there were discrete differences in service and in amenities as one event involved foreign guests while the other involved locals. Although clean, the rooms are cheap made to look luxurious. Coffee, beverages and drinks at the bar are irrationally expensive. Wi-fi... More

wi-fi was not working properly, the coffee in the bar was costing 4,5 euros (why?)...sorry but too expensive. The rooms are spacious but old fashioned. We stayed as a group for one night. Personell very polite and helpful

I stayed at this hotel for one night is May 2014 and it served every purpose I needed. It was a 5 minute taxi ride to the city and right at the base of Meteora. The breakfast buffet was deilcious and the hotel is very clean.

We stayed here as part of a 2-day tour of Delphi and Meteora (CHAT Tours, book through Viator). Though it's 4 miles from town which you can get to by taxi at 9 euros per way, the rooms are clean, the pool is refreshing, and the food they serve is fresh and filling. When you go to town, be sure... More
