I was looking forward to staying in this hotel because I really enjoyed the Amalia branch in Delphi. However, I was a bit disappointed. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. The pool was nice and so was the wifi (albeit it was somewhat slow at times). The buffet for dinner and breakfast were very nice as... More

If you are visiting the Kalambaka area to see the Meteora Monastery I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very spacious and the beds comfortable. The dinner buffet offered ice cream which was delicious as well as a variety of other tasty dishes. The swimming pool was lots of fun for the kids on our trip.

They had homemade bougatsa, spanakopita, tiropita, homemade cakes and strudel from Roumeli, Arcadia and Laconia, rice pudding, different fruit and cereal varieties, French croissants and breads, cold cuts, omelets and juices. Periscope, Athens presented a similar menu with a pleasant youth oriented staff always trying to help the traveler. Their breakfasts represented Greek cuisine. The Amalia Hotel, Kalambaka and Mediterranean... More

The Amalia is probably not thé best hotel, but for a room rate of €70 you get a big room (with complimentary fruit), a fantastic pool, nice staff and a great breakfast, so what more do you want? Yes it is far from to centre (5 km), so you need transport for Kalambaka and beyond. But in my book rating... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of the 4 day classical Greece tour with Chat Tours. I was most unimpressed with this hotel out of all the Amalia hotels we stayed in. Hotel was quite dated and not the cleanliest (main reason for low rating). Not the most comfortable stay. It was also far from the city centre so... More

We booked the room based on reasonable price and great location near the main road for easy in and out. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! The hotel is very clean, big common areas, nicely decorated, and our room was larger than typical for European rooms. The staff were very accommodating to our very early... More

Stayed here on G.O. Tours Four Day Tour. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The pool was wonderful at the end of a long day of touring. The food at dinner was good as was the breakfast. Beautiful building and setting although it is out of town

A decent hotel with a clean room and nice pool. But........they don't seem prepared. The wifi rarely worked and they called me an hour early for my wake-up call. I also had really poor service in the restaurant. I was with a tour group and they set up a farewell meal for us. The waiter seem flustered and irritated, constantly... More

On a recent Trafalgar Tour - I visited the Amalia Hotel. How wonderful it is really more like a resort. Beautiful!! I recall this as the best hotel in the 15 day tour!. Thank you Hotel Amalia for your great service, treating us as royalty, and being a highlight of our tour journey! This hotel is a jewel!

To be clear, this hotel isn't in Kalambaka, but is very close. It's on the outskirts or "surburban" area of the town and is a very suitable location if you plan to visit the Holy Meteora. It's quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. The appearance is almost Spanish in style. There are vast, open spaces around the property. The rooms were clean... More
