This is basically a tour bus stop. I had a superior room. The rooms are noisy, the internet variable, the elec plus dodgy & the TV small. The food was also pretty poor. The hotel is also out of town so it's not easy to wander around. I wouldn't go back.

Very spacious, friendly and clean. Very relaxing by the pool! Yes they have a pool! Reminds me of Mexican or Spainish influence. Out of town but was told this was the best one. Great area to visit with the mountains

We stayed here as a tour group and the hotel met all our needs. It is only a short distance from the town but this was not an issue as we had the coach. There is a lot of walking in Amalia hotels as they have vast public areas but the rooms are clean and comfortable, the prices reasonable, and... More

The cockroach on the wall, which was moving towards us, was a scare for my daughter and I had to finally turn her away to smash it. Dirty rooms that have equipment from the 70s - Kalambaka gets hot in summers and the AC took a long time to bring the temperature down. Not sure if the hard beds are... More

Nice hotel located on the road to meteora, 15 minutes away. Good breakfast, and big clean rooms. Lots of parking space. Big swimming pool which is bit outdated but clean. Its a 10 monute drive to the centre of kalambaka, but we where happy we stayed here and not in the city, because the centre was not very attractive in... More

The beds felt like a box spring - maybe when the mattress was used up they just left the box spring to sleep on!!! Dark décor and very hot. We had to change rooms but the air conditioning did not keep up with the heat anywhere in the hotel. No fans were even available!!! The hallways were sweltering. At least... More

We chose Hotel Amalia in Kalambaka as our base for exploring the fantastic monasteries of Meteora. We wanted a pool to cool off after a hard day of sightseeing. The Amalia pool area was lovely with a nice big pool. The rooms in the hotel were of a good standard and our junior suite had two separate rooms; the second... More

The room we had was in bad shape with electrical outlets pulled out of the wall, weak air conditioning and a tub drain that didn't drain much. However, the dinner and breakfast buffets were amazing. The grounds were good for casual walks and the pool was a favorite hanging out place.

Large hotel decorated with antique furnishings in common areas. The guest room was spacious with fridge and safe along with a pretty balcony . There was a large buffet for my tour group with a wide selection. the Wifi was spotty - didn't work in my guest room in the evening but was fine in the morning. Other tour members... More

The booking of this hotel was made through a tour company. Had no idea what to expect. Huge place with many rooms, bar, swimming pool and very large grounds with numerous fruit trees. The rooms were very comfortable. The dinner was excellent. Lots to choose from and breakfast was also delicious.
