We stayed for one night at this hotel. It is in the middle of nowhere, but it is peaceful and has an old world feel to it. There is a substantial swimming pool and deck to sit around. It was raining while we were there so we sat underneath the covered porch. The rooms are older and the air conditioned... More

The hotel is perfect. Located next to Kalambaka - Meteora. Very nice traditional architecture. Large rooms, although we were three, dad, mom and 6 year-old son. Free wi-fi everywhere. Large swimming pool. Very nice place to relax. The breakfast included a huge variety of eggs, cheese, traditional pies, fresh fruits... The service was excellent and all of them were friendly... Beautiful hotel, rooms, area, grounds. The meals were served in an large dining room, with excellent service. Massive buffet / choices for bkft. All staff were very polite & helpful. This hotel isn't near a city, but very quiet nice.

Very nicely appointed, spacious rooms. Public areas very, very spacious with nice gardens surrounding with lovely walkways for strolling. Restaurant was very nice both for breakfast and dinner (both buffets).

We were there for only one night on our way to the monasteries. We had a nice buffet meal with many choices and a good breakfast the next morning. Plenty of food. Our room was clean and reasonably up to date. Beds were OK. WIFI worked well and is free. There is a nice bar indoors before going into the... More

We stayed there travelling with a group. One of the group members described it as an oasis. The hotel is an older property situated on a good sized piece of land. I wish we had been able to spend more time walking the grounds. Our room was very nice and spacious. The staff was very professional. The food buffets were... More

The room was spacious. There was a marble tiled bath, with bath sheets, hair dryer and wash cloths (not often seen in European hotels). Many people chose to sit by the pool in the evening. There was a large pool with a bar area nearby. There was a complimentary full sized breakfast. There was free WiFi. The room had twin beds... The rooms are large and comfortable and so were the beds. AC worked great. Breakfast was good. While there is wifi all over the hotel there was none available in the rooms. Pool was very nice. Only real downside is that it is a decent way from town, so there isn't anything to do right around the hotel.

The Amalia Hotel Kalambaka sitting below the rocks of Meteora. There is nothing around the hotel and when I saw certain other buses there I knew it is probably the best in the region. Classed as a four star because of its facilities the bedrooms are still old with poor carpet and old bathrooms, it is however very clean and... More
