We have read all the positive reviews on TA before making a booking at the hotel and we experienced everything positive that has been said about this guesthouse. The guesthouse is about a ten-minute walk to the train station; later we were told by the lady owner that we could actually take a shortcut by crossing the railway line like... More

This was a lovely charming guesthouse with a delightful breakfast and very helpful owners. Upon arrival they gave us a cheat sheet to all the monasteries in the area with important info and advice on visiting that was super handy. Everything was immaculate and quiet. We could help ourselves to tea or coffee any time. The only detracting element was... More

Our room was incredibly charming, with an old-fashioned feel to it without feeling too antiquey or dank or fragile. The rooms have the feel of a boutique hotel, and the public spaces (a bar, fireplace, dining room table, and outdoor seating area) have the welcoming feel of a nice hostel. We had a very short stay, arriving at 3pm and... More

We stayed at this guest house due to our stay being booked through Private Greece Tours. We were met on arrival by the woman of the couple who run the business and her daughter. They were very sweet. The building looks new and our rooms were beautifully decorated and large. The bed was excellent as was the wifi. It is... More

Monastiri Guesthouse comes 100% recommended. Dita is a wonderfully kind and helpful host. She greeted us with a warm welcome and clearly explained how to get around Kalambaka. The guesthouse itself is has fantastic views of the beautiful surrounding scenery and is less than a 5 minute walk from the railway station (as someone else has mentioned don't rely on... More

The lady that manages it is superkind and nice. The view from our room was amazing. This hotel is ten minute walk from the main street (over the rail road) in the sleepy extension of the town, but that is what makes it special.

There are some places you stay at where the people you meet make you feel glad to be a traveler. Monastiri was one of them. The lady of the house, Dita, is probably the sweetest person we have ever met! Very welcoming and made us feel like a part of her family. The guest house is just a 2 minute... More
