We were well taken care of by Dita and Spiros. They have a nice house and the room was great. Obviously being a guesthouse you have to climb the stairs so think about it if you have mobility issues. The views were simply magnificent. The only issue was the baby cot was a bit hard as there was no cushion.... More

We spent two nights at Monastiri Guesthouse in Kalabaka in February 2015. Traditional guesthouse with spacious and clean rooms offering good amenities. Our room had a fireplace which added to the coziness of our accommodation. The owners and Managers, Ms. Dita and Mr. Spyros made us feel at home and were extremely helpful with the information which they gave us... More

Our one night stay was somewhat abbreviated as we got lost driving from Thessaloniki. Rather than arriving early afternoon as planned, we didn't arrive until very late evening. Thankfully a local taverna -- Megalarsa (which we passed on our way on the dark, winding road and which we decided to stop at to eat and get directions) -- was so... More

Just perfect. Perfect place to stay; perfect hosts to be a guest of; perfect atmosphere of hospitality. Staying at Monastiri was like visiting an old good friend - though we'd never been there before, had no arrangements - just came out of the night and asked for a room. Meteora is really impressive place by itself but at least half... More

It is near the train station and some meters from the centre. From the guesthouse you have a panoramic view of meteora. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The owners are very kind and... More

This place deserves all the praise it gets, and more still. It has wonderful owners, Spiros and Dita, who are most wellcoming and helpful, excellent hosts. The room I had, low season, easily comes among the top 5 of my favourite rooms ever (and I have been to many): with big comfortable bed and the whole living-room area, complete with a... More

If you take the train it is the best place to stay. You get off the train, walk over the tracks And you are there in 5 minnets !!! The room was large and comfortable. We were there In Nov so they had a fire in the main room. We had signed up for a walking tour and it Focused... More

We have read all the positive reviews on TA before making a booking at the hotel and we experienced everything positive that has been said about this guesthouse. The guesthouse is about a ten-minute walk to the train station; later we were told by the lady owner that we could actually take a shortcut by crossing the railway line like... More

This was a lovely charming guesthouse with a delightful breakfast and very helpful owners. Upon arrival they gave us a cheat sheet to all the monasteries in the area with important info and advice on visiting that was super handy. Everything was immaculate and quiet. We could help ourselves to tea or coffee any time. The only detracting element was... More

Our room was incredibly charming, with an old-fashioned feel to it without feeling too antiquey or dank or fragile. The rooms have the feel of a boutique hotel, and the public spaces (a bar, fireplace, dining room table, and outdoor seating area) have the welcoming feel of a nice hostel. We had a very short stay, arriving at 3pm and... More
