A lovely Chateau in the grounds of a ruined castle. We had a very spacious room which was tastefully furnished. The Chateau has extensive grounds which are safe for children. Breakfast can be a little awkward and hurried if you time it do you are sharing the dinning table with others. We also had a very pleasant evening meal one... More

We stayed here the night of the Cinescenie at Puy du Fou. The castle is only 15 minutes away. Such a privilege to be in a private castle with charming owners VICOMTE ET VICOMTESSE PATRICE VIGNIAL. The earliest known ancestor there goes back to 1090. As we climbed the 47 stairs to our gorgeous room, we felt as if we... More

Just got back from 3 days at Chateau de la Flocelliere and had an amazing time. As part of our France trip, my family group of 20+ stayed in the tower and pavilion. We had from ages 16 months to 80 years and everything in between and everyone LOVED our time at the Chateau. The rooms were clean and lovely... More

Wow! This was an absolutely fascinating and great place to stay. I am not sure which was more impressive – the beautiful old chateau, the fascinating grounds featuring a very modern swimming pool combined with a fabulous collection of 200 to 250 year old tress from around the world, or the warmth and knowledge of your hosts – Patrice and... This chateau is full of history, charm, comfort, and festures the most welcoming and gracious hosts. We highly recommend the family-style dinner, complete with apperitifs in the parlor, fruits and vegetables from the estate's gardens, local cheeses, and delightful conversation with the Vicomte and Vicomtesse and the other guests. The historical theme park Puy du Fou is well worth a... More

We rented the Keep with 10 friends one year ago during july. I really don`t have anything negative to say about our stay. The rooms are beautiful, kitchen is well equipped. Garden is fabulous and the couple who own the Castle are very nice & speak very well English, which is good cause my French is not so good. We enjoyed our... More

Stayed here for a few nights in the self catering section. Was greeted by the owners, lovely and helpful people. Kitchen and dining area were lovely leading to a nice little terrace. Pool area was great, one of our best points of the holiday. Some bedrooms were a bit lack lustre and lacked luxury compared with others. Enjoyed wine tasting... More

No trip to France would be complete without at least one night in a genuine chateau. If La Flocelliere's location fits your itinerary this is your choice. Right from the start you are made welcome by the owners, the Vicomtesse Erika Vignial and her husband Vicomte Patrice into their 11th century family home lovingly restored and furnished with ancestral treasures.
