The hotel is old but nice. Watched wildlife from balcony even saw 3 doe with 3 sets of twins that still had spots. Restaurant right across the street and within walking distance to down town. Owner/Manage really nice and the price was right $59.00 + tax and offer discounts. WILL stay here again. more

The Joy Motel has a very fancy website to lure you in. Once you get there though you find the place should have been updated several times throughout the years. Old stinky carpet, moth holes in the curtains, burns in the sheets and doors that weren't real secure. Could be a neat place if the owners would spend a little... more

While you may not care for the rooms, they aren't plush and as maintained as modern hotels, you have to love the delicious pancakes in the lobby every morning, the smores by the bonfire in the evening, the clean pool, and the staff. I wasn't impressed when I first arrived, the hotel was nothing above average, but the staff and... more

Let me start off by saying that this place has some good potential, and judging by existing reviews, you may have a great time here. We stayed in the Grateful Dead room, which made us feel more like we were in a hotel dorm than a hotel. This is not a bad thing, and was fun even. We had their... more

We stayed at the Joy Motel while in Eureka Springs for our daughter's wedding. The atmosphere was very laid back and friendly. The Blues Festival was going on while we were there and the owners made several trips taking people downtown and picking them up so they wouldn't have to try to find parking. The smores at the fire pit... more

This motel is in serious decline. The owners permitted several members of their family to stay, and their children were exceedingly loud and obnoxious. Normally it is a peaceful and quiet motel-where deer come up to the grassy area near the veranda-however, the children immediately scared all of the deer away and made so much noise they would not return.... more

First, we called the 800 many times without any answer. Finally after the 5 or 6 time, we finally got a girl on the line who was not friendly at all. However, we liked the website, but very dishonest. Room was very dirty and smelled moldy. In the morning, office loked up with no one around; meaing no coffee or... more

Stayed at the Joy Motel for two nights in June 2007. Along was the very pregnant wife and 5 & 6 year old boys. When we found the website and booked was looking for something other than a chain motel and chose the Joy. Easy enough to find along US 62. A storm had just been through and there was... more
