We stayed here for a friend's wedding, and despite arriving very late/early in the am on the first night, we were able to collect keys and find our room. They let us rest in the following morning both days, which we really needed and typically might not have been possible at a hotel. The countryside is very beautiful and peaceful.... More

The Celtic Inn is in a secluded spot in the Vendee. The house is tastefully decorated, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the food was amazing. The kids enjoyed playing in the large garden and swimming in the pool. For us the highlight was the food and the hosts. Tara and David were very welcoming and hospitable. Tara is an... More

We spent four nights at this lovely Inn, it is located in a very peaceful area, a wonderful place to rest. The building is beautiful, it is evident that a lot of work has gone into its sympathetic conversion from a farm. Liz and Ciarán are extremely hospitable and were very helpful with regard to local information and generally making... More

We stayed here on our way to Arcachon in late May and it was quite poor overall. Having booked online and been promised all sorts of local home produced food it and a unique country experience I have to say if we had any other option we'd have left 10 mins after arriving. I accept it was the beginning of... More

1. This wonderful 16th century farmhouse bed and breakfast, run by the most loveable Irish family, is a cross between the film The Castle and the TV show The Darling Buds of May. We spent a week there. Kieran picked us up and delivered us back to the train station in La Roche sur Yon. The rooms were clean, the... More

Our 2 nights stop at the Celtic Inn, with our children aged 10, 14 and 15 was just meant to be a convenient stop off on the way back from the Languedoc to Cherbourg. It turned out to be a fantastic highlight of our trip! On the long drive north Kieran phoned and said it wasn't too late to book... More

Warm Irish welcome in the middle of France! Stayed in Celtic Inn just one night with our kids (10 & 13). Our hosts were friendly and inforamative about the local area. Room very comfortable, great beds. Enjoyed the bar area that evening, great chat with our hosts and other guests. Left the following morning following a delicious breakfast feeling relaxed,... More
