A wonderful little hotel with great service, atmosphere and the bonus of a great location. The staff at this hotel are only outshone by the quality of the food. Everything was great at this little place. This has become our new overnighter on the way from south to Northern France. We will definitely return. Thank you Valerie, Thierry and your... More

Very serene dinner setting along the river. Reasonable menu prices (especially after dining in Paris!) Other diners were couples and singles who were possibly looking for that solitude. The menu covered choices with or without cheese and we were satisfied with the less then 30 euro menu without cheese.

This is the fourth time we have stayed here in the last six years. After an early start and a long drive from Calais there is nothing better than sitting on the terrace by the river relaxing. We arrived in very hot temperatures and it was not long before a thunderstorm. This meant we had to eat in the restaurant... More

Room was 60 euro per night (excluding breakfast). The room was small, and no air conditioning but very clean with a comfortable bed, so we reckoned this was pretty good value, compared to UK hotels which would be 30-40% more for this accommodation. Breakfast is pretty average: if I was staying here again, I would go out to a bar... More

A great little hotel south of Le Mans on a nice river. Not expensive & off street parking in the court yard. The room was cheap $65 euro, clean & tidy & adequate for my needs. The best part was the riverside scenic drinks/restaurant area. Very quiet & peaceful with a beautiful river setting. The food at the restaurant attached... More

Stayed here for the 24 Hour Le Mans. We stayed for three nights and the room I had was overlooking the car park. The room was spotless, clean and functional. The bed was very comfortable with nice pillows too. The location is idilic with a very nice summer terrace next to the river Loir. The staff were very friendly with... More

Go off the beaten track for this sweet Auberge, overlooking a river with FABULOUS food. The decor may be 80s but the welcome is timeless. Eat, if you care about food. But most of all savour the silence, the personal touches and the exquisite hidden location. Don't tell anybody in case you can't get a room ....

We were really looking forward to visiting the L'Auberge. It is a Michelin Bib (good food at moderate prices) restaurant with rooms. It is located overlooking the Loire just south of Le Mans and so should have been an excellent overnight stop going south. On arrival the owner rushed out, not to greet us or help us with our luggage... More

This is really a restaurant with rooms. It is a few miles off the motorways thorough beautiful countryside and easy driving. There is a small reception room/lounge and the bedrooms are small and functional but comfortable and clean. The situation is idyllic on the banks of the river Loir. It is a good stopping off point on the way from... More

We are really lucky to have this restaurant on our doorstep and called in for lunch today inside. This is a first for us as we usually wait for a hot sunny day so that we can eat on the terrace overlooking Le Loir. But the food is always excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. Starter - smoked salmon... More
