We would recommend this hotel after an enjoyable stay as part of our recent summer holiday. We stayed in a family room with two adults and two children (age 3 & 6). The family room was spacious, clean and with a lovely view over the courtyard. We stayed at this hotel as an overnight stop after travelling on the early... More

Stayed one night en route from Cherbourg to Brittany. Wonderful surroundings, comfortable room and excellent food including a plentiful breakfast buffet. We will definitely stay again next time we come.

We really enjoyed our brief overnight stay in this delightful hotel. Having arrived on a late ferry we really were too late for dinner although we were assured that should we wish to eat dinner was available. A comfortable room ensured a calm and pleasant night's sleep and breakfast simply reminded one why we love to visit France. This is... More

We returned to the chateau yet again and enjoyed a lovely stay with an upgraded room and a very pleasant dinner to follow. We would thoroughly recommend the "castle" which never fails with its hospitality and unique atmosphere.

We checked into our room after spending a day touring Normandy. The castle was a beautiful piece of history. We were shown to our room which was very nice with a view of the courtyard. The bathroom was roomy and great water pressure. At this point we decided to go downstairs to dinner. The menu had a range of options... More

This is a hard hotel to rate. On the one hand, it's a castle. But on the other hand, the room itself was one of the worst I had during my recently trip through France. But then again, it's a CASTLE!!! Who wouldn't be charmed to spend a night in a castle?!?! I really loved my overnight at l'Hostellerie, despite... More

We know Normandy well but had never been here. This was a stop off before getting the ferry back home from Cherbourg - it was a complete delight. Not luxurious but totally authentic. Lovely staff, great meals (we opted to eat in that night), we wondered around the grounds as the sun set and it was totally enchanting. Inside there... More

For a first ever trip to France we decided not to go to far, so decided on Bricquebec as a base to visit the D-Day beaches. We arrived at the hotel at 8.45pm on the Friday evening to find our hotel was part of a Castle. Wow!!! Great surprise. Our room was as you might expect, antique type furniture, slightly... More

There is a little to add to what is already written in recent reviews by Jochampagne, Jasmin186338 and Moonraker007. I hardly could find better wording to describe atmospheric premises of the castle, friendly service and delicious and reasonably priced dinner. We had two double rooms for two nights - different, but both equally nice. We did regret that due to... More

My husband, 13 year old daughter and I have just returned from a fabulous three nights stay. We experienced excellent and discreet service from all members of staff and enjoyed wonderful food in the restaurant on each evening. What a perfect base for exploring the many historic sites from the last war, including the beaches where one can poignantly remember... More
