We stayed here for one night after arriving on the Cherbourg Ferry. Ferry docked at 8pm and we were there by 8.45! It is a beautiful, atmospheric hotel. The family room was enormous and perfect for the three of us. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating of our 3 year old. We ate in the restaurant, which was wonderful,... More

Very friendly staff and the chateau was ok. But it was not more than the rooms and a restaurant. Both were ok but not more than that. It was situated right in the city centre and easy to find and with free parking just outside. The location is fine if you plan to see the world war II places around... More

Stayed on overnight stopover on way back to Cherbourg with family mid July. Beautiful old building with interesting history (just ask the manager). Charming and very helpful staff that spoke excellent English, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food in the hotel restaurant was of a very high standard and as a family we were intrigued by the... More

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Really good place to stay if needing overnight stop to or from Cherbourg ferry. Food was really good and very reasonably priced. We will definitely use this hotel again.

We had previously stayed at this hotel on a no. of occasions many years ago. Lovely olde worlde feel to it. Nice quiet clean room. Evening meal & breakfast good and proprietor very welcoming. Location not far from Cherbourg Ferry Terminal so good stop off if travelling further south.

Proper old-fashioned style of accommodation in a mediaeval Chateau. We had a huge bedroom/ sitting room at a really good rate with plenty of nice touches. The staff are very friendly and helpful, not to say bi-lingual. We went for a quick weekend, and the proximity to Cherbourg is very useful as it is only about a 30 m drive.... More

We last stayed in this hotel 25-30 years ago! This time we had a much better room, in fact as soon as we arrived we were told we had been upgraded. The room was absolutely fine - perhaps the bath could be replaced as it was definitely showing signs of age, but apart from that no complaints. I, personally, was... More

We stayed with our 3 children 4,6 and 8 and Mother all loved it. Hotel staff very friendly. The hotel is in a castle, with lovely grounds to have a picnic. Bricquebec itself is a nice town, we stayed on a Monday when the market was on. Easy access to family Beaches and D-Day landing sites.

We found the castle by accident. We were on an impromptu trip through Normandy and ended up having an extra day because the ferries out of Cherbourg weren't running due to rough weather. I said to my husband that it would be marvelous if we could find a castle where we could stay and le voila. Our experiences were marvelous.... More

This is about the fifth time we have stayed here over fifteen years or so. Not you would think a regular habit but it is not exactly on the route to anywhere - an overnight stop on the way to or from Cherbourg is how most people would find it but it has compelling reasons to return when you can....
