We stayed at the Chateau for 3 nights during the half term break - a 3 night for the price of 2 deal with Brittany Ferries. We booked a family room - which actually had 2 adjoining rooms and a bathroom. It was cleaned every day with fresh bath towels. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming. We decided... more

We didn't stay there, but rented a cottage in Bricquebec which was nice, so on the last day of our stay decided to eat at the chateau on the Monday lunch time. We asked the day before if it was open for lunch on the Monday and were told 'yes, and it is advisable to book' Stupidly we belived this and... more

While we stayed at the hotel we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. We had asked to be seated near the fireplace and were told the tables in that area were all reserved. We were seated far from where we wanted to be and overheard a german couple ask if they could move to the table near the fireplace and... more

Superb location in the centre of town but some of the rooms have a feeling of fading grandeur. The hotel obviously does very well out of British visitors and in catering for this market has lost something. The service was faultless and the food very competent but somehow that extra “French bienvenue” was missing. more

My Wife and I have stayed here several times in the past when it was only in Logis De France. However it is now one of Chateaux Hotels De France as well and on our recent visit we thought it had moved up market quite a bit.Our room was newly decorated ,had all the bits you would expect and generally was... more

We stopped over here after a very long and tiring journey and trekking holiday in the South of France... so we really appreciated the lovely quiet setting, the charm of the hosts and the sumptious sheets on the extremely comfortable beds. However I just wanted to re-itterate an earlier cautionary review... the breakfast is EUR9 per head and EUR4 for... more

Four of us stayed for a short weekend. Apart from the terrible weather, the hotel was full of atmosphere and charm in a historic setting. The room was perfecty adequate though not huge - but the bed is the most comfortable one I have slept in in a hotel for years. We all ate in the baronial hall in the... more

My girlfriend (Irish) and I (French) stayed at the hostellerie for 4 days and 3 nights, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Arriving straight from the ferry, we could tell from the outside that it was already a winner. Located straight in tthe courtyard of the castle, the hostellerie is a lovely place, and from the minute you set... more

We stayed one night here on our way to the ferry at Cherbourg which is about 16 miles or half an hour away by car, via the D900. The hotel is an old medieval Chateau set within its own walls and very quiet and peaceful. Parking outside is easy. We were shown four quite different rooms in our (bottom) price... more

We spent 3 days and 2 nights at L'Hostellerie du Chateau and absolutely loved it! The room was clean and comfortable and the entire property looked like something out of a fairy tale! The innkeepers were both friendly and gracious and treated us like special guests. The hotel's restaurant served some of the best cuisine we've ever eaten in France.... more
