Beautiful place, beautifully decorated, very calm but close to lots of attractions and castles. Gardens with a wonderful view towards Amboise, a cool and spacious room with great attention to detail. Very kind and hospitable hosts, really nice breakfast with self made jams, yoghurts, fresh fruit etc. Would I return? 100% yes. Would I recommend this place? 100% yes.

I second another reviewer: it is a dream-like chateau. Take time to wander the small but amazing grounds. Sit on benches in the early morning or late evening and soak up the atmosphere of this historic place. You can really feel it. It is also simply stunningly beautiful--not in a fancy way, in a real, lovely way. The owners are... More

We loved this hotel near Amboise. We had two connecting troglodyte rooms for our family of four. Since the weather was very hot when we were there in June, the pool was most welcome and the beautiful grounds with great views were so pleasant for exploring, relaxing, and having a picnic (refridgerator/dishes etc. provided). The breakfast was good (cheese, crossants,... More

Veronique Fructus and her husband Olivier have created what could possibly be the perfect B & B near Amboise. My family and I stayed in the Pavillon Lucas so that I could have access to a full kitchen to make meals for my Celiac daughter. Veronique was kind enough to to provide some gluten free cereal and recommend a good... More

I can't say enough good things about this place. Veronique was quite helpful as the proprietress and the property was just delightful. Like staying at a castle, but with updated amenities inside. Lovely little pool and lawn area for outside visiting. It was quite hot so we were worried about lack of air conditioning (AC), but completely irrelevant because of... More

We were so entranced by our first visit in May, that we returned last week. Chateau de Nazelles is a magical place - a 15th century chateau with a meandering quality, hidden at the top of a narrow street. Rooms are carefully considered and very comfortable, each with it's own character - wether in a little pavilion in the courtyard,... More

This property, just across the river from Amboise' old town and chateau, is like staying in a dream. I have stayed at many hotels all over the world and none quite like this. The property has a 15th century chateau as its main building and then a number of surrounding buildings which are also accommodations. The effect is that one... More

Our stay at the Chateau de Nazelles was delightful. If you like a peaceful, natural setting with gorgeous view, lovely little "surprises" around every turn, and charming French hospitality you'll love it! Wish we could have stayed longer.

My 84 year old mother and I visited the Loire Valley this June and had a wonderful stay at Chateau de Nazelles near Amboise. It is a quiet country manor house overlooking the Loire River Valley. We had a cozy room that opened to a quiet yard. Even better was the rest of the yard area that was quiet and... More

My husband and I enjoyed two very memorable nights at this charming intimate chateau run by the sweet affable and accommodating Veronique. This 16th century chateau, although small, has a variety of rooms to appeal to a wide range of travelers. We selected a lovely and very nicely appointed room with a 16th century sink still intact! The entire chateau... More
