If you want to feel like you have gone back in time and are a princess living in a chateau then stay at Chateau de Nazelles. We loved our room with a beautiful view of the countryside and Loire River. We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds and summer kitchen where we would have wine, cheese and snacks in the quiet... I'm way overdue for writing this review and can't believe I forgot to write it. We visited in May 2014 after a full tour of the Normandy region. This was our two night stay before heading to Paris for a week. Our brief stay was remarkable; wonderful host and hostess, wonderful area to explore, and a wonderfully relaxing time. Be... More

Our stay in July, 2014 at Chateau de Nazelles could not have been better. The room was spacious and beautiful built right into the rock. The view over the Loire Valley was magnificent. During our stay we saw fireworks from the lawn in front of our room. Veronique and her family could not have been more gracious and hospitable. Her... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights starting June 22. It is a very beautiful property in the heart of the Lorie valley. Hostess Veronique was very pleasant and very helpful. The Breakfast was also very good. Great advice on what Chateau's to visit, directions etc. My only regret is that we did not stay longer to enjoy... More

The friendly Veronique of Chateau de Nazelles was there to welcome us on arrival, offer sightseeing tips and restaurant advice! Her English was great! The Chateau is located only 5 min from Amboise so dinner options there are plentiful. We stayed in the cottage for 4 which had cooking facilities so chose to stay in for dinner one night. The... This Chateau was all that the web site promised. Veronique was a friendly. helpful and caring host who did everything possible to make us feel welcome. Situated out of the busy tourist town of Amboise, with views across the Loire Valley. but close enough to the restaurants for coffee and dinner. Terrific base to travel the Loire. Delightful breakfasts and... More

We stayed here for 4 days last May on our month long trip in France. Veronique was a pleasure to work with while booking online, a gracious and accommodating hostess and the owner, along with her husband, of this enchanting property. She is delightful woman and a joy to be with. We loved everything about our stay here- it's first... More

Our room in the almost 500 year old chateau was charming and very comfortable. Veronique and her staff were very helpful especially with restaurant suggestions and reservations. The grounds and gardens were spectacular.

The hotel is only 7 rooms and is almost 500 years old. The setting is so beautiful, it is difficut to decribe. I was lucky enough to stay there for nearly a week in April. Veronique (owner / host) was absolutely the best. Her French breakfasts were the best breakfasts I have had. Even though I back in the states....I... More

I LOVE THIS HOTEL! it takes you back in history, has fantastic hosts and authentic French breakfast bakery items. I had a cottage on the property where the shower was fantastic, the bed comfortable and the quiet drugged me to sleep. I would love to come again and again. Thanks for everything. Kim Harris
