We have stayed here several times but not in the last year. The Madame who had owned it has now retired but all the signs are it remains an excellent hotel restaurant with the same head waiter. Our room was in the old manor building up a flight of stairs but with a wonderful view across the gardens towards the... More

This logis will not disappoint, if you are seeking a quiet base for a short stay. The rooms are tastefully decorated, although not necessarily spacious. The food is of a high standard and moderately priced. The most outstanding comment one could make is the friendliness and the professionalism of the manager and his staff. we will certainly return to this... More

One of the Logis network rated with 3 chimneys and 3 pots - their highest ratings for comfort and food quality and well deserved. It's an old country house in traditional French style converted to a small hotel and restaurant, well patronised by locals which is always a good sign. Comfortable, well maintained and with attentive staff. We had dinner... More

Typical French style house, set by the river in large garden, would be great in summer to have a drink in the terrace area. The rooms are fine, nothing fancy, but all you need, the décor of the hotel is well done, in keeping and to be enjoyed. Staff are helpful and friendly but the waiters although professional could do... More

We spent a night in the hotel on our way to the mid Pyrenees where we have a house. The hotel is set in a lovely garden , birdsong & peace after the drive from the UK. Very welcoming staff & a delicious dinner in the restaurant , very french decor. The rooms are quiet ,clean & comfortable. We enjoyed... More

Comfortable and clean. The restaurant supprised us with great dinning experience. All the dishes we ordered were well cooked and nicely presented. The wine list is also very diverse. Service is very polite and professional. Recommended!!

Stayed here on our way to the UK for a night. We were travelling with our dog and although we stated on the confirmation we had the dog with us no rooms were available that are normally used for dog owners. The owner was good enough to accomadate us anyway. I always look for a hotel that has a good... More

L'Hermitage again . . typical Logis de France with unassuming street frontage, interesting gardens - "French" - down to the river, pleasant rooms and superb food. There are now two Chefs and the "second" chef seems as good as the first, who is still in post. Interesting menu, good value but not inexpensive. We spoke with a chance customer, English,... More

Turned up at L'Hermitage on spec as a stop-over on way south. Convenient distance from A20 and easy to find as it is signposted as you enter town. There was only one room left - everyone else staying this particular Wednesday night seemed to be business people - which was functional but pleasant with a view over the gardens to... More

An overnight stay for our family and didn't really know what to expect. Rooms were clean, if quirky; bathrooms - standard Logis; linen was lovely but toiletries inadequate. The hotel almost has an elegant foyer and its gardens must once have been beautiful but look like they have been little tended recently. The main dining room was fine - food... More
