Beautiful Chateau, however pool area needs care & attention. We did not see Florence and felt rather lost. Could not find anywhere to eat (Sunday evening). The towels were thin and there were holes in them. Our room was fine but help with luggage up 52 steps would have been welcome.

Only booked about half an hour before arriving as we were looking for a stop over on the way to Souillac. Very impressive chateau and charming owner who was very kind and helpful (we had two very young children with us). The chateau is wonderful and we had two beautiful rooms. As we had booked so late we ate at... More

We have stayed at the Chateau du Boisreanault on a number of occasions over the past years. It is a delightful chateau, in a park like setting in the rural Loire/Indre Valley, albeit now in need of refurbishment. It is best now described as shabby chic! Our stay of 4 days was pleasant and relaxing. We had Room Hadrian on... More

This place is great. We loved the building, grounds, pool, and Florence, who looked after us so well. Sitting in its own grounds with towering turrets, oak rooms and all sorts of interesting nooks and crannies (look for the secret door way), this is a place that will get your imagination going. There is something of Hogwarts meets 60s rock... More

We were looking for something slightly different as a one night stop -over on our way back to the ports from the south west of France and so chose Chateau de Boisrenault. (We have 3 children so Novatels usually suit). On the way to Chateau de Boisrenault we stopped off at the nearby Chateau Valencay (30mins away) which is great... More

This venue will not suit everyone but it suited us really well, it's a real shame we got there so late and left so early. We had Room Hadrian, who's footprint is almost as big as my entire ground floor at home. It was like going back in history and living in the past, not to say that the Chateau... More

We were sceptical about what to expect but it was spine tingling peaking the spires through the tree tops as approached along the road out of Buzençais. Not everyone's cup of tea I suspect, but for us and our dog this was 5 star perfection. We were looking for a stop over on our journey (which started in Southern Spain)... More

This is our first stay in a French Country Chateau and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We stayed in the Hadrian Room which was huge with a nice bathroom including a huge bath. The room is on the corner of the chateau and has great views of the grounds and countryside and gets fantastic morning sun. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable... More

This beautiful french Chateau owned and runned by the castle's family is a treasure. Very friendly owner, open minded and social with no attitude. Very romantic bedrooms in eclectic style, comfortable bed and shower and private toilet. Also free coffee and tea facilities in room and wifi in public area. Pool is open in summer time. Public rooms at the... More

This impressive chateau sits in delightful grounds amidst the beautiful rolling plains of bright yellow rapeseed and other crops near Chateauroux. The chateau is run by the same family who built it in the late 1800s. Florence, the lady of the house was charming and made us feel very welcome as was our dog. We walked through the magnificent grounds,... More
