We stayed here for 2 comfortable nights and explored the surrounding area. I have to say that the few negative reviews on this site did NOT reflect our stay. The breakfast for 10 Euros had a good spread and the hostess made us eggs, and one morning pancakes as well. Overall it was a very relaxing lovely experience. Our only... More

What a fabulous setting and beautiful rooms with views which we were very happy to see at the end of a long drive across France. I booked Flammerans attracted by the fact that Guy, the owner offered a meal which meant that we could relax and unwind with our two boys happy in the knowledge that driving off to find... More

We were greeted on arrival by the owner of the place, who told us some of the history of the castle. Our suite was beautiful and we were the only guests. We had drinks on a beautiful and comfortable sitting room. The dinner (for three, as a friend living near by came to see us) was prepared by the owner... More

We spent a week at the Chateau recently as part of a long holiday in Europe. This was one of our most outstanding accommodations of our holiday which generally consisted of farm stays and small family hotels which we also enjoyed greatly. The family at the chateau were very welcoming on our arrival, and friendly and helpful during our stay.... More

When you hear the word chateau it evokes the sound of luxury. At least, to me it does. We had stayed in chateaus twice before in France and both were quite opulent. Chateau de Flammerans is not. Quite simply, we had a very unpleasant stay. We stayed for two evenings... (two, too many) and we only saw the owner Guy... More

A bed and breakfast, but the owner is a chef and dinner is available. Stopped by for a few days (on our way to Switzerland). Beautiful and unexpected -gorgeous rooms, great food. We hope to get back someday!

Stayed here overnight in July 2011 on a return trip from the south of France. Found it in Sawday's guide and we were not disappointed. The room was well appointed and had a lovely large bathroom with plenty of good quality towels, bathrobes and smelly ointments for my wife! The room itself had been well decorated and in keeping with... More

We look forward to coming back and spending more time exploring the area and enjoying this property. My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed here for one night. We found the rooms to be very comfortable and clean. The hosts were absolutely terrific even finding a Doctor for my husband and I on a Saturday. The property is... More

I had read good reviews for the Chateau and then read some of the negative comments on Trip Advisor. Wev stayed for one night at the Chateau as a stopover on our way down to Provence. It was quite delightful. The bedroom suite was huge and very comfortable. We didnt eat dinner but found excellent choice in the nearvy Auxonne.... More

We found this Castle by coincidence. We were 2 couples with 3 kids under 3y. In a nutshell, I would say the “product” is fantastic, the Castle is very elegant / charming and the place around is charming too (park is lovely). We have not tested the Spa. One slight critic, the Castle is not well fit for young kids,... More
