Stayed here during summer of last year a few times as it was so good. Everyone was very friendly and personable. I’m loved the quietness at night and views over the countryside. The rooms were very big and spotlessly clean and well decorated in a traditional French style. The menu was extensive timely and tasted divine. I would definitely stay... More

I first stayed at Tres Girard in September 2013 with my parents. We had a good time and an excellent meal. As a result I booked another stay with my husband in June 2014. That night we had one of the best meals we have had. We chose the new seven course tasting menu with accompanying wines. The service was... More

We used to regularly stay here on our travels to & from S. France, but stopped about 4 years ago because the food quality went downhill. Well that's all changed. Not only was the overnight stay perfect from quality of room, service, friendliness, etc perspectives, the food was truly excellent.....and of course the wine selection is superb. The breakfast is... Had to wait two hours to be served our main courses at dinners (after 2 reminders). Also children not offered dessert when included in "Menu Enfant." Service in restaurant was pretentious and inefficient. Food was ok (for the price). The excuse offered was that there were two members of staff off sick. However, there were still three waiting staff for... More

This is the second time when we have travelled to the South of France or as we were doing this time driving to Italy stopping for an overnight break from the toll road. We find this area to be a manageable driving distance of about 6 hours on both days for an overnighter when visiting South of France and Lake... More

Reading some reviews suggesting an unwelcoming atmosphere, we were a little wary, but those comments seemed to be without any foundation. Room on the top floor overlooked vineyards, and while within earshot of the main road between Dijon and Beaune, and the train line, we weren't disturbed at all. Illumination to the front of the building which meant lights in... More

In a beautiful setting away from main roads we enjoyed a relaxing stay in this very well presented hotel. Most of the staff were friendly and spoke good English. The rooms are spacious and clean. The dinning room is beautifully positioned over looking the Burgundian vineyards. The food was excellent. Good breakfasts and a comprehensive dinner menue. Wine list was... More

What a beautiful area and such a lovely village. All the right ingredients for a superb hotel, but not the Castel de Tres Girard. It's difficult to know where to start, but dour looking staff (what does a smile cost - obviously a great deal at this hotel), v poorly cleaned room, window shutters that hadn't seen maintenance for hundreds... Having stayed here before we were hoping for another good experience but it was not to be. From the brusque, efficient but cold 'welcome', to our room on the top floor where the shower was one of those plastic units, we felt let down. The room was OK but the air conditioning unit was noisy and the tea and coffee making... More

Stayed a couple of nights in this hotel in the burgundy region. I must say that the rooms are very nice. The location is perfect with overall views over the vineyards. Only a couple of miles from Gevrey Chamberting and Nuits Saint Georges. The bar is very cosy, and dinner in the restaurant is very good. Also the winecard is... More
