Spent two nights with our family in July. Nice atmosphere, clean room, good food (although a bit too pricy in our opinion and slow service). Not the best place to stay with a 3-year-old and a baby because of the steep steps but there was a gate to prevent them from falling down. Also slow Wi-fi. But all in all... More

A nice hotel, good beds, nice people. It's the oldest building of the city, from around 1600, partly still original. It's a special experience to stay there. For some people there can be 1 'but', it is not possible to park your car near the hotel, you have to park it a litllebit outside the city, so you have to... More

I am sorry to say this is the worst accommodation we experienced during our six weeks in Scandinavia. We booked a twin room for two nights but only stayed one night. The beds were so rickety and uncomfortable that my son slept on the floor. The bedding was musty and the room very stuffy. Having only one bathroom was a... More

The hotel was built in 1600 and not much have been changed since. The beds are really good and it is fantastic with the oak floor and the lovely paintings in the cealing. Eight rooms share three toilets and one shower. Very clean and in the absolute center of this lovely little city, that began to be built in 710.

Arrived here at Weis Stue. Staff all friendly and efficient. Hotel is over 400 years old so if you are looking for all modern rooms, go elsewhere. This hotel is charming with its tiny steep stairs, its uneven and squeeky floors. Interior is original and so cosy. We loved our stay here except for 1 small thing which isn't the... More

This was a business trip to Denmark with a colleague who knows the country well; nevertheless I thought that aiming to stay in Ribe was going some distance out of our way. I was very pleasantly surprised because this small city (Denmark's oldest) has a really charming old part with cathedral and some lovely narrow cobbled streets. The quay by... More

I had lunch here this August and was absolutely delicious! I stayed in Ribe one week and i tryed a lot of places in this area...well i can tell you that this one is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! The place was also very caratteristic, with the furnishing in wood, fresh flowers on the table, and situated in the front of the... More

We only had lunch at the restaurant so we are unable to comment on the rooms. However, the location cannot be better...at the main square right across from Ribe Cathedral. If the weather is good you'll see plenty of tourists sitting outside Weis Stue enjoying a beer and people-watching. The building itself is OLD like so many other buildings in... More

The first bad impression is the entrance which is practically in the kitchen. A narrow, steep stair, more like a ladder, leads up to the first floor, which has two or three rooms and a bathroom with a sink outside. The same type of "stair" continues up to two rooms on the second floor, where there is only a sink.... More

If you want a perfectly 'square' room with modern facilities - stay elsewhere. The charm of staying in a place for one night that was built in the 1600s was amazing. Ribe is one of the oldest cities in Denmark and the hotel was the oldest building in Ribe. Our room was very clean but not spotless - what do... More
