4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2014 via mobile

One night with shared bath was c13500 on December 30 2014. This is a large hotel -- hard to imagine it ever filling up. Rooms are quite small but clean with a comfortable bed, a fan, a small tv, and a view of the mountains. There is some peeling paint (consistent with this price range). Very close to buses, market,... No frills, but good location (as long as you don't mind church bells early in the morning). Stayed here the evening of the Christmas tree lighting. Was nice to be right across from the town square with a great view of the fireworks. Room was comfortable and clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great service, always kind and helpful. Complimentary coffee at the front desk. Quaint room but it's ok when traveling. The restaurant is super tasty, great service too. The casado is great and you can choose between tortilla or bread. Coffee is delicious

The hotel is clean. Great location if you travel through and need a simple, clean and cheap place to stay for a night or get some supplies before spending some time in the mountains. All bus terminals are in walking distance.

In reality there are no a lot of options to choose from in San Isidro. In general the place is ok and the included breakfast was alright. The room was a bit small but had a balcony which was nice. Good location. Would stay there again.

This hotel is pretty basic, but a good value for the price. Different sized rooms are available with or without bathroom. I stayed in a double with bathroom in the hallway. Decent size room, with a cable TV, and the bathrooms were pretty clean. Nothing luxurious, but a good getaway if you live in rural Costa Rica!

This is the perfect place to stay for the budget traveler on their way to or from anywhere in Southern Costa Rica. Hotel Chirripo is centrally located near shops and services in San Isidro, bus station, and roads out of town. However, it was surprisingly quiet as it is set off the street and in a solid building. The staff... More

We arrived in Perez Zeledon without any place to stay, not knowing anything of the city. Our decision was finally made, as we saw that on of the probably best located hotels in town fitted perfectly to our small budget: 13500 colones for the cheapest twin, which made about 27 dollars for two. The hotel has everything you need, it's... More

I stayed here on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm glad I did. I chose a private room with shared bathrooms. The room, bathrooms, and whole hotel are all very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will pop in here again if my travels take me through San Isidro!

Recently in Perez Zeledon on business, I chose this hotel because of it's excellent location (faces the Parque Central) and Gated Parking with Security Cameras. The entrance is a little hidden and reception is down a hall, behind window barrier. I was offered my choice of two rooms--one small, clean and neat with a fan, the other larger with A/C... More
