This is once again our home in Kathamandu. The rooms on the 4th floor (odd numbers) look out at the mountains and this afternoon the rain cleared and the peaks shined in gold and rose in the afternoon sun. The hotel is very comfortable but simple. Food is just OK and there are better places to eat in the neighborhood.... More

Feel like a member of the upper echelon of society while lodging at HH. Breakfast is immaculate, and there's even coffee! Hot showers, clean rooms and an inviting lobby make this place worth the splurge. Warmer months might enable you to enjoy the pool, too.

Hotel Himalaya would not measure up to the competition if located in many other countries, but relative to others in Nepal, it's a good choice. The location is either good or poor, depending on your preference; it's away from the chaos of central Kathmandu, quiet and spacious; but at the same time only a few shops or restaurants across the... Here on business for four nights, I found this a very comfortable hotel. I particularly appreciated the quiet room, The dining room had a selection of what I would call Indian food, with a soft-pedaled approach to spices. Even the names were westernized (Butter chicken was barbecue chicken, but less spicy than in India). There were also other dishes that... More

Hotel himalaya is my favourite hotel in Kathmandu. situated in the quiet location of Patan . The hotel staff is very courteous. The hotel property is huge and is more like a resort than a hotel. The rooms offer scenic view of the Himalayas. Breakfast spread is very good with lots of options to cater to every taste. The charges... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in December, it was quiet and away from the hustle of down town Kathmandu. The rooms were clean and well serviced. The Breakfast was a good buffet. One let down was the charge for WiFi and using their PC. It was part of a package,so I cannot comment on the price. I would stay here... More

I stayed here when I first got into town because I was meeting a friend there. The hotel was clean and nice but way over priced for Kathmandu. The staff were not very friendly and kind of snooty actually. They charge extra for everything and even tried overcharging us. It has a very good breakfast buffet but that is about... More

Away from hustle and bustle, rooms good size, we had pool view room and one night there was a conference "do" with music, but to be fair it ended by 10pm. Good breakfast. Not in tourist area but couple of restaurants nearby - eg Bricks Cafe

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and enjoyed every trip. The rooms are quite spacious and well-maintained. The staff are, for the most part, quite friendly and accommodating. I look forward to staying there again.

Staff here were very helpful, arranged transport, advised on shopping and the beds were super comfortable. We were here to attend a friend's wedding and it was very convenient to have a room onsite to take an afternoon siesta before the evening festivities. The small bar was great for meeting up with other guests in the evening and staff here... More
