Stayed here for 3 nights in December, it was quiet and away from the hustle of down town Kathmandu. The rooms were clean and well serviced. The Breakfast was a good buffet. One let down was the charge for WiFi and using their PC. It was part of a package,so I cannot comment on the price. I would stay here... More

I stayed here when I first got into town because I was meeting a friend there. The hotel was clean and nice but way over priced for Kathmandu. The staff were not very friendly and kind of snooty actually. They charge extra for everything and even tried overcharging us. It has a very good breakfast buffet but that is about... More

Away from hustle and bustle, rooms good size, we had pool view room and one night there was a conference "do" with music, but to be fair it ended by 10pm. Good breakfast. Not in tourist area but couple of restaurants nearby - eg Bricks Cafe

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and enjoyed every trip. The rooms are quite spacious and well-maintained. The staff are, for the most part, quite friendly and accommodating. I look forward to staying there again.

Staff here were very helpful, arranged transport, advised on shopping and the beds were super comfortable. We were here to attend a friend's wedding and it was very convenient to have a room onsite to take an afternoon siesta before the evening festivities. The small bar was great for meeting up with other guests in the evening and staff here... More

After my last trip to Kathmandu and a not so good experience at Crowne Plaza Soaltee, I thought of changing to a viable alternative next. This time I made my choice as Hotel Himalaya and to my sheer surprise it was not a bad decision at all. Although this property smaller than solatee but is in fact better. The room,... More

My wife traveled to Kathmandu on business and I felt very relaxed knowing she would be staying as usual at the Hotel Himalaya. They staff took great care of her and arranged everything perfectly from airport transfer to the best of rooms to rental cars when needed. A big thank you to Sashi, reservations manager, and and the whole Hotel... More

Himalaya Hotel is set in own grounds away from the noise and chaos of Kathmandu. Welcoming entrance and staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, food is very good and service is attentive and efficient. A good base from which to explore Kathmandu and the surrounding area.

The room service was excellent. The place was clean. I really appreciated that they have a generator for the frequent brown-outs. Bed comfortable. Nice view of city. Internet just fair. Restaurant inside hotel was good, not excellent. Not close to good shopping. Nice store inside hotel. Would stay here again.

try to get the 'pool/mountain' view room, you will definitely enjoy it if luck is on your side that day i.e. good view of the langtang range. the patan part of kathmandu is quieter and better than the others. service was ok, wifi was ok too, value for money indeed
