After living in the northern part of town of three weeks, I worked for a second humanitarian agency responding to the massive April earthquake, and moved to the Himalaya, five minutes on foot from my office. During five weeks, it was my home, where I would fall exhausted after 14-hour long days, wake up early in the morning to a... More

One of the best hotels in Kathmandu. Good service with good food for breakfast. Rooms are of good size with shower in the bathtub. Furnishing a little dated but rooms are clean and adequately equipped. There were mosquitoes but I managed to kill them. Room was supposed to be smoke free but cigarette smoke from the conference room next door... More

Friendly, care, accommodating with good quality front desk, Patan. Rooms are well enough for solitary living, hotel on the main road. But not for budget one. Not in down town. Close to ICIMOD and some tourist places of Lolitpur.

a waiter spoiled a glass of wine over my fotocamera. He did'nt work anymore. The direction of the hotel said it was not the waiter, it was me! He wanted to call the police to let them confirm his innocence. rest of the holliday without camera and no compensation

great hotel, arrived 2 days after the EQ, this was one of the only hotels that was suitable and safe for accommodation great location and great support. food service and everything was so great, built by the Japanese to EQ standards, yes it had some superficial cracks but was soon cleared by our own and Government engineers. next time I'm... I stayed in this hotel a couple of times and used it to organize a conference. The rooms are really spacious with wonderful view of mountains. Some of the rooms have a wonderful window with a comfortable resting chair to read and watch the snow clad mountains. Breakfast and service is good with helping staff. Wi-Fi works well, and front... Stayed here before as well as a few days after the initial quake in April. Was here a week earlier for work. The hotel is rather old looking but rooms are functional. It has all the basics you need for a business trip. Bed is comfortable and enough lighting in the room. Wifi was annoying in that only one device... More

I stayed at this hotel on the day of the Kathmandu earthquake. Like many people I had not planned to stay here but found myself there following these terrible and unexpected events. None of us were able to use the hotel rooms (too dangerous to go inside due to the continuing tremors) and instead spent the night in the hotel... More

I stayed here with a group of 44 for nearly a week. It is a pleasant hotel in a quiet location, but is let down by poor service in the public areas, particularly the front desk whose staff seem trained in indifference and are reluctant to take action on the most mundane requests. For example, ''can I book a mountain... More

This is a hotel for which I have a special regard because I have stayed at it on various occasions over a period of some 30 years. Its location is a conveniently short texi ride from Kathmandu and the centre of Patan, just out of the maelstrom of central Kathmandu and enjoying slightly better air. Essentially unpretentious, the bed rooms... More
