This hotel was part of our group trip for 35 of us to Nepal. I only wish we had stayed longer. The rooms are lodge are very nice. The Wifi works well but you may need to ask them for "the other WiFi password" as once we got that one we had no issues. The grounds are beautiful. The had... More

This is the perfect place from which to view the Himalayas (given decent weather...so choose your time of year) and enjoy the tranquillity of some lovely gardens. The service was very good; we ate a la carte rather than from the buffet...excellent quality and very good value for money. The only down-side was that the rooms (we were in a... More

We stayed in this hotel because of a birding trip. Great and friendly staff and wifi everywhere. Only minus point, no lift and have to walk few stairs getting to your room but view was superb since we got it front and could see all the mountains and birds. Only road uphill to the resort is not easy and very... More

A nice hotel in dense forest.... Lawn design goes with the name... very specious and good room with free wifi only in lobby... food and service was very good. Go above the hotel to have better view of sunrise and sunset. You feel as if you are standing above the clouds...

If you are looking for a mountain experience without the work of hiking this is a good place for you. The view of the Himalayas from the top of the lodge is spectacular. If you like warm places to stay this might not be a place for you. The brisk morning air, the very little hit in the buildings and... More

We stayed in a room at the main hotel, I went with my boyfriend, and they upgraded us to a family room with a huge double bed and a single bed. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was modern. The room was clean apart from the carpet could have done with a hoover. The building is beautiful with classic... More

This wonderful hillside resort or Fort", is a remarkable spot to stay with incredible panoramic views of the mountains which surpasses the views of many of its neighbours. It is a very tranquil and peaceful place to stay amidst truly authentic old style architecture. Sadly however, it has become a little run down over the years and is in need... More

Three of us traveled there in mid-May 2014 for a one night stay. The hotel is nice. We stayed in bungalows but there are main hotel rooms also. The bungalows were a decent size with two beds that were comfortable with nice comforters. There are decks around each bungalow that have chairs which look out into the valley. The rooms... More

The fort hotel is a fantastic location and Nagarkot is a beautiful place! My friend and I loved hiking around Nagarkot. We both really looked forward to our stay at The fort hotel expecting it to be very special. However as soon as the sun lowered, the temperature in the fort hotel drop dramatically! This made for a very uncomfortable... More

I stayed for 1 night. I booked thru agoda.com, the rate that included breakfast was $US 97. I emailed them and they replied too late with their quote of (USD $85). Email: fort@mos.com.np I stayed on April 18, 2014. Solo female traveler. Very cloudy day, no sight of Mt. Everest. I was at the cottage (very nice setting, you feel... More
