This wonderful hillside resort or Fort", is a remarkable spot to stay with incredible panoramic views of the mountains which surpasses the views of many of its neighbours. It is a very tranquil and peaceful place to stay amidst truly authentic old style architecture. Sadly however, it has become a little run down over the years and is in need... More

Three of us traveled there in mid-May 2014 for a one night stay. The hotel is nice. We stayed in bungalows but there are main hotel rooms also. The bungalows were a decent size with two beds that were comfortable with nice comforters. There are decks around each bungalow that have chairs which look out into the valley. The rooms... More

The fort hotel is a fantastic location and Nagarkot is a beautiful place! My friend and I loved hiking around Nagarkot. We both really looked forward to our stay at The fort hotel expecting it to be very special. However as soon as the sun lowered, the temperature in the fort hotel drop dramatically! This made for a very uncomfortable... More

I stayed for 1 night. I booked thru agoda.com, the rate that included breakfast was $US 97. I emailed them and they replied too late with their quote of (USD $85). Email: fort@mos.com.np I stayed on April 18, 2014. Solo female traveler. Very cloudy day, no sight of Mt. Everest. I was at the cottage (very nice setting, you feel... More

We ho to Nagarkot to see sunrise. You can see it from your room, from the restaurant and from every where. No need of stepping out. The hotel also has a terrace for serious photographers. No room service though which I thought is a complete No-No for a leisure hotel. Located in the woods, you are amongst butterflies, birds, lovely... More

The Fort Resort at Nagarkot appears to have army of enthusiasts going by the number of accolades pinned and pasted on the walls of the lobby and it is probably an excellent base from which to embark on countless treks and photography walks across the area. But for the overnight traveller it proved to be a cold stay, the food... More

After a week in Kathmandu we ran away here on Friday evening and arrived after dark. The whole point was to get up in our cottage and watch the sun rise over the Himalayas next morning and that is exactly the awesome sight we recieved. So back to the story, I had dithered over booking due to mixed reviews but... More

Zabojad with its friends from Exploring Nepal Discovering the beautiful Views of the Himalaya and the Nagarkot Fort stays among the best Sightseing experiences. Waking up with Eagles flights and having breakfast while watching the Sunrise is among the most marvellous Memories of Nepal. The Roof top of the Fort offers an unforgettable experience.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel and have a recommentation for individual tourists: Try to spend the day here, and not just the evening and early morning, when the hotel gets invaded by heeps of asian (and other) tourist groups. When the latter is the case, the quality of service decreases considerably, some of the staff seem barely motivated... More

The location of the property is fantastic. I had spent some awesome time in this hotel. But there are three negative points:- 1. There is no generator backup which is required as there is severe problem of power failure 2. There is no room service 3. No television and wi-fi in rooms. If these facilities are there, it can be...
