I agree with a the positive comments, the place was absolutely stunning. I'm very sorry to let you know that it has been seriously damaged. The building where the reception and the restaurants were has collapsed, we were inside luckily we managed to get out just on time. It's a shame!

I decided to stay at The Fort Resort after actually read some reviews at TripAdvisor. Well done to you, guys! I foung the hotel like it described by you! The hotel itself is a nice building and pretty much well-maintained although can do with a bit higher standard of cleanliness - don't get me wrong, it's not dirty but just... More

Good views and architecture reminiscent of a fort of some description but sadly let down by the front desk attendant upon our arrival; disinterested in the extreme. Junior staff and head of housekeeping more attentive. We took a cottage in the grounds rather than a room in the main building - carpets in need of a clean and musty odour... More

We were warmly welcomed by the attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful grounds and rooms with a traditional Nepalese feel. We were in lovely rooms in the main hotel but if you want romance/privacy ask for one of the private bungalows with uninterrupted views of the himalayas. The view at dawn is spectacular and worth getting up for! Make sure you... More

What a place! Amazing views, unique rooms and a filling breakfast. The Fort really makes you feel like old Nepali royalty. The bathrooms are clean and hot water seemed to be adequate. Tip - Do your shopping down the hill in Nagarkot: the prices are much less than in other, more touristy cities.

I spent one night at The Fort Resort for the main purpose of experiencing my first sunrise over the Himalayas. My accommodation was in an individual cottage with magnificent views of the mountains. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable and the Himalayas could even be seen through the windows from the bed. A large rooftop area offers exceptional... More

The whole Nagarkot area seems pricey, especially considering it in Nepal standard. I chose The Fort although it's among the most expensive ones. It turned out that both rooms and food were okay. There was a Chinese tour group of 27 people. Buffet was very much catered to them with very limited choices to the western tourists, maybe. As Chinese... More

Stayed here for one night and was booked on the top floor of the hotel from which you can get a spectacular view of the Himalayas. The hotel has a very mountain lodge kind of look and the rooms were clean and spacious. The staff are very attentive and polite and also gave us suggestions about different kinds of foods.... More
