Unfortunately we only stayed at The Wyvill Arms for one night. We really enjoyed our stay, our room (room 2) was well furnished with a four poster bed and complimentary furnishings whilst the toilet/shower was thoroughly modern. The restaurant and bar are very well appointed and our evening meal was excellent, I can recommend the venison steak, it must be... More

We only ate dinner here rather than stay overnight - we have a caravan nearby. Friends recommended the Wyvill as a good eatery and we didnt have any problems booking for Saturday evening. The Inn is nicely placed opposite Constable Burton caravan park on the Bedale to Leyburn road and has views of open countryside to the rear. There is... More

Stayed here for 1 night on a charity ride. Location is really nice.. lovely views ! Hotel was helpful and accomodating, especially around breakfast where the cyclsts wanted to head off early (6.30am). The bacon, sausage and egg buns where well recieved by the team at their next stop. Rooms are clean, fresh, and fairly large. Dinner (and my breakfast)... More

We have stayed at this friendly and comfortable hotel several times, and have always enjoyed the food and the very helpful staff. We stayed in Room 4 this time around and found it comfortable and roomy. Do hope the owners decide to opt for some self-catering accommodation in the new block... Thank you again for a very happy stay, and... More

this is a lovely pub with rooms. We stayed in room 2 which has an ornate four poster with two leather chairs and a desk. Lots of lovely cushions and a great bathroom with a huge shower head. We have two small dogs and there was plenty of room for their beds and we were all made most welcome. We... More

We were guests at a birthday celebration at nearby Akebar Park and found this charming small hotel/restaurant in the typical style of the Yorkshire Dales. Small enough to give every guest their individual attention (but it is expanding to meet the demand) and so willing to make your stay memorable. The bedroom and en suite were lovely with large walk-in... More

We traveled to North Yorkshire to spend the weekend walking with friends and used the Wyvill Arms as our base. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly (along with all the other staff) In addition to staying there we also ate in the main restaurant. The food and service was excellent. Each morning we had a lovely hearty breakfast (the... More

What a find! My 2 children (Tabitha 10 & Felix 7) stayed for 1 night after an exhausting day at Forbidden Corner. What a warm welcome by the owners - taken to our superb room, (after being asked if I needed any help with bags etc - hubby not on this trip!) which was immaculate - 2 huge double beds... More
