We had booked a cabin at Calico Rock Cabins for New Years. We had driven from Memphis & as we had arrived about 30 minutes from Calico Rock (at Mountain View), the owner (Jack) called to inform us he had given our room away after it had been reserved with a credit card. It was a busy weekend and there were no rooms in town. Luckily, we all (there were 6of us-including my middleaged parents, a newborn baby and I had a c-section the week before) got to sleep on my mother-in-law's hard living room floor or we were faced with sleeping in a car. Jack told us that he would give us a 2day stay during the week for free-any weekday of our choice. We chose the Monday & Tuesday of Memorial Day. We went those days & Jack was incredibly rude when we checked in. I guess he realized that he should have excluded these days.
