This historic railroad hotel has been lovingly restored. The rooms are uniquely decorated and comfortable, and one could spend a day exploring the grounds, the building and the art collection and only touch the surface. If train noise would bother you, do ask for a room away from the tracks. The dining room is a beautiful space; the food was... More

If at all possible, plan your trip so you can stay at La Posada in Winslow. Sure, you can stand on the corner in Winslow, but this hotel is NOT to be missed. Even if you can't stay - you're invited to explore the hotel and it's wonderful restoration with the self guided walking tour. Mary Jane Colter (of the... More

We stopped here not knowing the treat we were in for. You wont want to leave. The rooms vary quite a bit. They are all unique. We stayed in the lowest priced room but it was still beautiful. This place is expensive but so fantastic its well worth it.

We spent just one night at this very special place and left wishing we had booked another night. The grounds are beautiful and it would take a full day to appreciate the building itself. There are so many nooks and crannies each one filled with a new adventure. The rooms are named after famous people who have visited and fun... More

My wife and I spent a delightful night at the La Posada in May..sorry for the tardy review. The hotel is a grand old railroad hotel designed by Mary Jane Colter. It has been lovingly restored by its current owners and is Top Notch is every regard. Each room has a name. We stayed in the Mary Jane Colter room... More

History oozes from the walls of this wonderfully restored hotel. Not your typical hotel. One can get lost for hours looking at the artwork, artifacts and furnishings in the common areas, lobby, wings, public rooms, nooks and crannies. Even the rooms are architectural marvels in this one time Fred Harvey hotel and masterpiece of architect Mary Colter. The rooms are... More

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. This was our second time staying. This time, we came back to Winslow just to spend a few days here. This is not in any way shape or form your standard hotel. I like the Marriot Courtyards, too. But this is so much more special. The building itself is magnificent and... More

Stopped in Winslow on a trip between Albuquerque and Flagstaff after visiting the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. La Posada is a renovated old railroad hotel. Spanish hacienda style on the outside and eccentrically decorated inside with interesting art and furniture. Our room was a bit small but nicely done and big enough for two. Nice gardens in various nooks.... More

If you are ever in Winslow, this is the place to stay! Overall, this hotel provides a special experience as every room is different in both decor and theme. The baths are a beautiful surprise as well as the woodwork and tiling in every room. If you are traveling with a group, be forewarned, there is no way to set... More

A massive historic restored treasure on Route 66, I highly recommend a nite. The price was reasonable, the restaurant was good and you will enjoy the artwork, the gardens, decor and the history. I was suprised at how much room we had in the room since this is a 30s hotel and generally, roomliness was not considered in design, even... More
