This is one of my all time favorite spots. A rare place where you can literally spend the day wandering around and enjoying both the hotel and the grounds. Relax in the library by the fire or walk the halls and impromptu galleries enjoying the artwork. Or, walk outside and enjoy the grounds and the passing trains. An old style... More

The hotel is wonderful and well kept. The staff very warm and gracious. The gift shop has wonderful local art at good prices. Fantastic turquise jewelry! If you cannot stay in the hotel at least stop and look around.

Anyone driving the I-40 corridor should take this detour back into history of how a hotel might have been to the weary traveler. Yet with TLC to smooth over the neglect of time this beauty is on full display for all to see and enjoy. Take a meal at the spacious turquoise dining room and enjoy gracious hosts and servers... We had the Wallace Beery room and it was a bit on the small side for two people. I suggest the Douglas Fairbanks or the Truman Suite if you would like a bit more space. It's a VERY old hotel (once a Harvey House) and it's sized as such. People didn't bring much luggage or have much "stuff" so don't... More

My daughter and I were doing a cross country trip in January 2016. We stopped at a small coffee shop in New Mexico and were told about La Posada so we decided to call and see if they had a room available. We stayed in the Wiley Post room overlooking the gardens. The room was perfect for the two of... More

We stayed here with our cat. They charge $10/pet, and it is well worth it. The grounds, even in winter, are beautiful, and the each room is a jewel, authentically rough cut in homage to the frontier atmosphere. We enjoyed a delicious dinner (highly rated restaurant under separate management but housed in historic Harvey House dining room area) and also... More

We had been trying to stay at the La Posada for over a decade and finally planned far enough ahead to get a room. Our wait was not in vain. We had a wonderful time exploring the hotel and its collection of art and vintage furniture. The trains moved through the station slowly so the sound was just wonderful. As... More

Originally planned to stop in Winslow just to take a picture "on the corner", and booked a room at La Posada, one of the original Harvey Hotels. My partner is a "train buff" so the passage of trains was interesting, but the hotel is so well built that you do not notice the train "noise". The rooms were well decorated... More

This is one of our favorite hotels to stop at to and from Arizona. The desk staff is always friendly and helpful. We have had the pleasure of staying in 4 different type rooms all with king beds. The beds are very comfortable and most rooms have plenty of space. Each room is unique to a famous person who may... More

Winslow, Arizona was featured by Glen Frey and the Eagles in their song, "Take It Easy." The famous corner and its statue are just a few blocks from La Posada. A fabulous old destination hotel designed by famous architect Mary Elizabeth Jane Coulter, it's been brought back to life by Allan Affeldt, its current owner. Rooms are named after famous... More
