We enjoyed our 1 night at the hotel. Beautifully restored. Room was vey comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent in the restaurant. The restaurant service was ok but not as professional as you would expect. Worth a stop.

I have been fortunate enough to stay at many historic hotels over the years but few if any have offered the feeling I got at LA Posada. You can easily envision yourself as a train traveler (or driving Route 66) in the mid-20th century, stopping over on your trip from Chicago to the west coast. I am really not sure... More

Unbelievable gardens & some are even "secret" within the inside courtyard. We spent all morning exploring & sipping our tea & coffee. After dinner in their wonderful restaurant, we finished the bottle of wine while relaxing in the gardens, as well. Got a less expensive rate by using their web site..just a quick tip ! Make sure to "stand on... More

We stayed at La Posada on our Route 66 trip from Houston to Santa Monica. We were extremely pleased from the minute we pulled into the drive. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The building is beautifully restored with its Southwestern theme throughout. Our room was absolutely stunning and very comfortable. Even the bathroom was gorgeous! Fine amenities were... More

This historic hotel has a fascinating story - both the original construction and its restoration. However, that does not make it exceptionally comfortable. We're really glad we came - and stayed one night - but can't think of any reason we would be back. La Posada Hotel is single-handedly trying to "save" Winslow - a dying town. I wish them... More

I would like to congratulate Mr. Affeldt for having saved this beautiful piece of 1920's arquitecture by the famous Mary J. Colter. He has done a marvelous job and the hotel is a must stay at least one night if you are in the region. Winslow, Arizona is sadly a bit abandoned but this hotel is worth the visit.

Two different friends recently recommended La Posada Hotel and we decided to stay there on our cross country drive back east. Our entire stay was amazing. La Posada is a gem in an otherwise less than stellar town (except for 'Standin' on the Corner'). We arrived at this beautiful hotel and were cheerfully welcomed and were able to register in... More

We stayed during our road trip on Route 66 and loved the location next to the railroad and the old carriages located by the old station. Room was clean and quirky and was what we knew to expect - the Turquoise room for dinner was very busy but service was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. My only negative comment... More

La Posada in Winslow, Arizona is a classic Harvey Hotel from the early 1930s. Harvey Hotels like La Posada and several others in the Southwest offered friendly hospitality and staff, great food, unique guest rooms, beautiful architecture, awesome gift shop (which used to be a real Indian Trading Post), and easy access to transportation. The fully renovated La Posada still... More

I stayed here one night with my husband, 2 year old son and 8 year old son. I loved everything about the hotel! My husband and children were less excited--it did not offer the traditional comforts of mainstream hotels... I think this is a GREAT thing. The grounds were beautiful and I wish the weather had been warmer for us... More
