This is a great getaway destination, a fantasy hotel the a wonderful restaurant attached. We go there every couple of years. The Architect, Mary Colter, was the most influential woman Architect of her time. The separately owned restaurant specializes in crafting area influenced dishes.

My husband and I stayed at La Posada for our anniversary. We took the AmTrac train from Chicago to Winslow. It was so romantic. Taking the train really set the mood for staying at LA Posada. LA Posada is in front of the train tracks. Don't let that worry you about getting a restful night's sleep. Although you can hear... More

My husband I stayed at the La Posada Hotel during our recent trip to Arizona. We both fell in love with the place. It is gorgeous inside and out. The hotel which was built sometime in the 1920's has been restored beautifully. The decor could be called Old Mexico. It reminded me of an old fashioned resort. There is a... More

What a great hotel. The food was great and the bar was absolutely beautiful. Lots of artwork to view and lots of history to read. We enjoy our stay immensely. Only bad thing was it was too short a visit. We will defiantely return!

This place is awesome! The remodeling efforts are worth viewing and the price for accommodations is not unreasonable when you consider the history and nostalgia of the motel and the town in general. Our room was immaculately clean and the King-size bed and pillows had us sleeping almost like we do at home. The Jacuzzi (in the Betty Grabel Room)... More

We chose to stay at this hotel on our drive from CA to Chicago. Built in 1929 as a railroad hotel it has been undergoing major restoration. What the hotel offers: historical southwest architecture and furnishings, comfortable rooms with modern baths, art gallery, outdoor terrace and AMAZING restaurant, the Turquoise Room. I thank the owners for the care they are... More

Built as the last Harvey House along the Santa Fe line, then badly turned into an office building, this beautiful example of Southwestern architecture has been lovingly restored and is a small hotel as well as an Amtrak station. We couldn't get reservations but spend half-an-hour enjoying the restoration and owner's paintings.

Normally a stop-over in Winslow wouldn't rank high on anybody's list of things to do. But this historic hotel is definitely worth it. The hotel was originally designed by Mary Colter (which practically makes it a national treasure), fell into disrepair, and was wonderfully restored by the owners. Even if you don't intend on spending the night, visiting the hotel... More

This hotel is a restored train station/Hotel, Dating back to to the first transcontinental railway. It grounds are both beautiful and interesting-( a museum ) The rooms are small but nicely furnished. This could be a great boutique hotel. However management is not service focused. There main interest seems to promote there gift shop by using this venue as a... More

I was totally taken back and immersed in this Mary Colter creation for the Fred Harvey company. It truly is an historic masterpiece restored for visitors to enjoy in comfort. My wife and I had a short but romantic stay.
