This hotel has everything I need. And even though I am listing remote location as a plus, as well as fabulous art, antiques and of course the fantastic Mary Colter architecture and restoration work by the current owners, I must say that the people there really make the place. We had wonderful service, and great conversations with the owner/artist and... More

The restoration of La Posada continues. It is like a walk back into the 1920's with modern amenities. You can spend an afternoon walking through the lobby areas reading the history and viewing art work, etc.

We stayed at La Posada for a night after Thanksgiving. My husband is an architect and loved the detail taken to restore this wonderful hotel. We stayed in the Wrigley Twins suite, which was lovely. The hotel had wonderful patios and little nooks for reading although, unfortunately, it was too cold to enjoy the patios. We ate in the Turquoise... More

Arrived on a Friday. Greeted very warmly by the receptionist. She walked us to the general area of our room. Very nice touch. The reception area is a gift shop. Lots of things to look at in various price ranges. Room 223 is spacious, quiet and comfortable. More lighting would be nice. I realize the building is old, however the... More

Nicely decorated and period perfect/Western motif hotel in this tourist town. Small TV and low selection of channels. Helpful front desk staff. Clean rooms and well maintained. Be careful with a step up into the bathrooms - probably due to plumbing renovations at some point in time.

Everything about La Posada makes you feel welcomed from the moment you first arrive. The check in, baggage handling, room furnishings, food, and particularly the staff, make you want to stay for an extended period.

Although we have stayed overnight at La Posada several times, we make the 2-hour trip from Sedona to the hotel restaurant for special occasions - it is worth the trip. Most recently we traveled there for Thanksgiving dinner. As usual the food is not only excellent, but creative. Not your run-of-the-mill turkey or roast beef entrees, but locally sourced, beautifully... More

We stayed at La Posada for three nights over Thanksgiving. We'd lived at Grand Canyon National Park some years ago and are great MJC fans. This one is yet another don't miss spot. Our room was delightful. Bathroom a little tight, but our delightful little balcony more than made up for that. The owners have put so much of themselves... More

My husband and I just returned from our third stay at La Posada. We drove north through Mogollon Rim Country yesterday, stopping for a mountain biking adventure on a forest road in the pines on our way to Winslow. Then it was on to La Posada! What an enchanting place. The historic hotel is being lovingly restored, flawlessly combining the... More

This hotel was first a frontier ranch in the 1800's. Then it was a Fred Harvey Station Hotel. Then the corporate offices of the Santa Fe Railroad and now once again, on it's way back to being a museum, a fine restaurant, an enchanting hotel, a train station, and a wonderful art gallery. Every inch of the hotel is unique... More
