Everything about this hotel is first rate, from the friendly staff, the impeccably kept grounds, the history, the rooms and the food. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Lots to see and do in the Winslow area too.

Wandered through here with my wife on a trip to Arizona. We were in Winslow and saw the La Posada and stopped by to look. While we didn't stay at the hotel or eat in the Turquoise Room, we wandered through the public areas and looked at the building and the artwork. A definite place to stay the next time... More

On a family vacation, driving and looking for a lunch stop. The reviews of the restaurant were worth checking out so we stopped. Party of 7; 4 children, Grandma, my husband & I couldn't stop looking around. There is so much to see and so many interesting paintings and stories shared. This was a fabulous find on our free wheeling... More

La Posada is like no other hotel. It is a trip back in time. The history is so interesting, and the decor superb! There is an art gallery and so many nooks to sit in and enjoy. We stayed in Howard Hughes room which was the most expensive yet reasonable. The room was so beautiful and comfortable. You could spend... More

A nostalgic hotel, with charm and a warm, comfortable feeling. The rooms are beautifully furnished. The lobby is a must see -- you could easily spend an entire afternoon walking through each area, leaning the history of the hotel and the surrounding area. If your travels take you through Winslow, try to spend a night at La Posada. Definitely worth... More

This was our 4th stay at LaPosada, the last of the Harvey House hotels. It was built in 1929, closed in 1957, and used for many years as offices of the Santa Fe Railroad. The design by Mary Coulter was to create the hacienda of a wealthy Spanish family. Much of the restoration is to our liking ("secret" garden, ballroom... More

The first time my wife and I stayed at this former Harvey Hotel in 1998 the owners had only four rooms completed. We were delighted to return last week. The hotel has been meticulously refurbished to its former grandeur. There are flat screen TVs in the rooms. However, there are no phones in the rooms. There is no swimming pool.... More

Staying at La Posada is like taking a step back in time; it's history involves its interesting connection to the railroads of long ago when it was THE way for people to travel to the West. It's still a pretty busy location for passing freight cars , as well as an occasional passenger train, that you can see and hear... More

The property is beautiful - newly renovated, yet retaining its historic charm! You really feel like you're back in the days of the Mother Road. The trains pass by all day long mere feet from the hotel and were really cool to watch! However, make sure you pick a room not too close to the tracks, like we did, as... More

Staying in this restored hotel of another era was a delight. This old Harvey house has the spaciousness of public spaces we rarely encounter anymore. Large hallways and high ceilings on the first floor are complemented by spacious grounds and gardens (though they do need some attention). The second floor room was comfortable and clean, but the shower was showing... More
