I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We stayed over the New Years Holiday to do some snowboarding and to play in the snow. The hotel was cheap, comfortable, and the pool/hot tub area was awesome to sit in during the cold weather. The staff was very helpful and friendly, can't wait to go back next year!

My husband, our 10 year old and I spent 3 nights here in June 2010. We got the hotel free with credit card points. It was perfect for our needs as a "base camp" for exploring the Grand Canyon and Route 66. Our room was a suite, with a half-wall dividing the beds from the kitchenette/sofa. This was great as... Having read some fairly scathing reviews we were slightly anxious about what to expect at this hotel, but for us it was everything we needed. Ok, it's not luxurious but our room was fine and Doc Holliday's restaurant next door is very handy: but beware, the helpings are huge! Williams is a pleasant little town and the Grand Canyon is... Nice staff, clean room, and decent food at the on-site restaurant. A bit of a ride to South Rim if the Grand Canyon (60 miles), but not a bad choice since we had our dog with us!

Our nightmare began at check-in. Though there were two (2) people behind the counter only one (1) was waiting on customers. We had to wait almost twenty (20) mintues to check-in...one (1) person was ahead of us. We had a party of nine (9), three (3) of which were seven (7) and under. We had requested four rooms two adjoining... More

Our first impression was negative. Williams is a poor, depressing, run-down town with nothing to do. We were there to see the Grand Canyon, so we didn't mind that too much. We arrived in Williams at noon on our way to the canyon, hoping to check in a little early to unload our car and change clothes. The hotel was... More

The Holiday Inn in Williams is at least superficially clean. The paint, carpeting, etc., is all in good condition, but on closer inspection, it is not that clean. The ice bucket, for example, was gross with dirt. But more importantly, this was the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. From the first floor, we could hear the people upstairs pacing... More

We stayed here because the previous HI on our trip was so nice. Big mistake! This one is in need of renovation, although I must say the house keeping staff were all lovely and really friendly. But the hotel, and room was bordering on grotty. Next time we'll drive on to Kingman and stay at the Hampton Inn there.

Holiday Inn (HI) is usually a favorite for my wife so we have stayed in many Holiday Inns and HI Express. My wife likes the amenities like iron with board, hair dryer, coffeemaker and small fridge right there in the room. No need to transport any of these from the front desk. This HI was the most expensive and worst... More
