I stayed in this run down HoJo's for one night. After paying $129 on Friday night I was looking for a lower rate for Saturday night and stopped by the Howard Johnson's to check the rate. I was told yes, they had vacancy and the rate was $99. Since the proprietor speaks heavily accented English I made sure there was... more

We stayed in one of the rooms downstairs facing the rear of the building , upon arrival we noticed that our window latch was broken and a small stick was put in the window railing to prevent it from being opened. We went to the front desk and advised the people that we needed another stick that was longer to... more

My husband booked this hotel through Expedia. It was the best discount rate in the area and we had planned on visiting the Grand Canyon. (( wouldn't have paid the regular rate!) The place is in need of some serious updating. Even though we booked a non-smoking bedroom, our room smelled of cigarettes because of the smoking rooms just down... more

We chose this hotel over about thirty other hotels/motels in Williams. The owner asked me while checking in if I was going to the Grand Canyon the next day. I assumed she was just being friendly, and making the usual small talk people do. I told her that we had been there that day, and were on our way towards... more

Nice place with a great location for visiting Grand Canyon. The beds and rooms are clean. They also have breakfast included in the rate, though it could be better. more

It has taken me a long time to write this review. I didn't know how I wanted to list both its negative and positive aspects. Finally, I decided to just be honest. I'll start with the negatives: When opening up my first floor windows to view the thunderstorm, I noticed someone pacing outside in the rain. I was on the... more

Pros: the indoor pool and jacuzzi. It would have been nice to have towels by the pool, but that would be a bit too high-class for this hotel. The beds were surprisingly comfortable for a hotel in this category. Cons: Pillows were some sort of foam and not very comfortable. The woman at the front desk was curt and refused... more

The staff was downright rude, the lobby was unairconditioned and stank of curry, and the "continental breakfast" consisted of stale doughnut holes. The owner's family had the kids running around and the mother was yelling at them the whole time. In the morning there was no one to check us out, so we dropped the key in the drop box.... more

I've made the online reservation with hotelsvalued dot com online reservation system. They've probably made a mistake booking two rooms instead of one requested for 3 people (or they have buggy software, or maybe they just making money together?). But that was not known until we arrived at Howard Johnson Express Inn in Williams near midnight, tired after 8 hours... more
