The hotel and rooms are in need of SERIOUS maintenance. Paint (inside and out) carpet, tile, caulking, bedding (my blanket had huge burn holes), and the filters in the filters in the air conditioners needed to be replaced very badly... but there's so much potential!! The room was very reasonable and the beds were very firm (which I like) and... More

Stayed at a couple motels in Williams as my family and I went to see the Grand Canyon (our first time). Clean rooms, vintage style, were given a second room at a discount! More

This motel was chosen for us as we were visiting friends from out of town. Located on Hwy 66 at the quiet east end of town it is definitely a dated motel. The rooms contained most ammenities, but overall they had seen better times. Everything was tired looking and worn out. The pool, proudly displayed on their business cards, was... More

We went for vacations to US and this was a stop over to next day to the Great Canyon. Excellent place, very friendly personnel. Will come back for sure. More

El Rancho proved to be a very good stopover, and we stayed for two nights. Comfortable, clean and good value. Williams itself is a great Town to stay in, interesting with real character, and we really enjoyed the bars/restaurants with some live music and good food in the evenings. Well located for Grand Canyon 55 miles away. Would love to... More

Our group of 5 stayed here....after a week of backpacking in the Grand Canyon. We had planned to camp our final night near the South Rim, but it was a *long* day of hiking out of the canyon. And I think we were all ready to hit up a motel for a clean shower and not get all our tents... More

Although this motel is the last one on the eastern edge of town it is only 1/4 mile from the center of town so it is an easy to walk to the restaurants and bars. Our room was basic but clean. A bed, TV, fridge and coffee making facilities. The bath water was hot with plenty of pressure making for... More

You can't advise people to stay here. It's probably better to stay in the car or on the sidewalk. The sidewalk is no doubt more comfortable than these "beds"-- two box springs slammed together with no mattress. I'm working to get this place decertified as an Auto Club recommendation. That's how gross it was. The carpets were filthy and there... More

Nothing fancy, just a large clean room with microwave and fridge. The staff was very friendly. They recommended two restuarants that were very good. The pool was heated to a nice temperature. The whistle from the Grand Canyon Railroad a few times a day was very quaint. The view of the forest from my large window was the best part.... More

El Rancho is an older, 1950s style motel, so don't expect fancy. I was surprised there were microwave ovens, refrigerators, coffee makers, and VCR or DVD players in the rooms. They had just switched over to DirecTV or something like that, so using the TV remote for anything more than sound and turning it on was obsolete. I had to... More
