Our stay at El Rancho was quite pleasant. If you are expecting anything fancy, of course you will be disappointed, but for the money this is a fine place to stay. A few things we liked- the lady at the desk was very helpful in booking our Grand Canyon railway trip ahead of time with everything in order when we... more

great place to stay ----------very down memory lane sort of motel with a 1960's or 70's feel to it ----------our room did come with a nice surprise--a coffee pot, microwave, and small fridge---------wonderful to find in a room at this price -----------------stores and places to eat and drink with live music were close and wonderful the best thing was the... more

Stayed at the El Rancho for four nights. Clean and comfortable with genuine hospitality and Route 66 ambience. Not fancy, but certainly reminiscent of a slower-paced, less harried time. Good value for those who do not require all the modern-day extras. Will stay there again for sure. more

We stayed for 3 nights during an 18 day trip in September 2006. The motel is on the edge of the town, but you can walk to all the amenities. The receptionist (Maureen) was very welcoming and pleasant. She booked flights over the canyon and the trip on the Grand Canyon Railway for us. The rooms are a little dated,... more

We stayed here at the end of July on a vacation through AZ. The owner is extrememly nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable but certainly no frills (although they did have a cofeemaker and microwave). The small outdoor pool was clean but very cold (heated - but very cold). Great value for the money - right at the... more

The room was very hot when we arrived - 85+ degrees. The small window unit never cooled the room very well. I think it was cooler outside. The bedding was old. The bedspread was dirty and the blankets were old and had holes in them. This was not a great place to stay! more

Drove to the Grand Canyon..and yup..it was too late! It was nightime, so we drove back to Williams (about an hour) and pitched up at El Rancho for the night. It's a fantastic stop-over joint, some good hearty steak houses close by and the Pine Country Restuarant for some good ol' home style breakfasts. The Motel itself, is very clean,... more

Great room amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, video recorder) and a clean and nice size room. Stayed here three nights as a base for the Grand Canyon and the service was friendly and helpful - making reservations for us for the train from Williams, recommendations and coupons for restaurants. Good value and one fo the better looking motels in Williams. more

I give the El Rancho (hope they never change that name) a five for its category of lodging. Face it, this is not a swanky hotel. However, it merits a five on economy, cleanliness (and I'm picky), courtesy, room extras, (frige, microwave, coffee maker, lap top use, smoking and non-smoking rooms), good mattresses, location, parking, and a retro-design subtext. Haven't... more

The first thing I would say about this motel is its low price. We paid $57 dollars including tax for a double room. The room was clean and comfortable. We felt like the owner (Maureen- very helpful) really cared about her guests and made an effort to make them feel welcome. TV, a/c (although not needed, as it was rather... more
