My husband, daughter and I spent the 4th of July weekend in Williams at the Grand Motel. We found the place full of Route 66 charm in a corporate world. I have stayed in nicer places, but I have definitely stayed in places that were much, much worse! It was very clean which is a HUGE requirement for me, the... more

This motel was definitely the low point of our trip to the Grand Canyon. Upon arrival at the Grand Motel we were so shocked by the outside condition, we drove past it and around the block to be sure we had the right place. The vast majority of the reviews we read loved the motel. However, when we made the... more

I would of loved to seen a video of our faces when we pulled into the motel parking lot. I'm sure our eyes were huge and our mouths were open. Then we all had a nervous laugh of - oh my, what a dump. We asked to see our room first and although everything looked dumpy it did appear clean.... more

Stayed here with our children in 2 rooms. I am guessing that there are different types of rooms that may determine how happy you are with the property- because I missed the charming part of this motel. I kept thinking that it was my grandmothers hours 30 years ago, and I was compelled to wash my hands more often than... more

This customer stayed with us on a sold out very cold night (daily low of 15 and daily high of 55) (March 19, 2008) in 2 rooms. They had room 8 with the tub liner with some water under the liner (only room with that and they were told about it when they registered) and 1 queen bed. They also...

My husband and I stayed here for 2+ weeks while waiting for our rental home to be ready. Even our... more

I was expecting the place to be a disaster after arriving. I had to wait to check in and was a little put off by the appearance. After I checked in and was let into my room I was pleasantly surprised. The furniture was all antique but the bedding was fresh, new, and comfortable. The outdoor breakfast was a highlight... more

If you do your homework then you will get what you expected. A taste of nostalgia but with mod cons, clean comfortable beds, constant hot water and a host that can answer all your questions. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed an openair breakfast on the first day but as the weather had deteriorated Bob left a list to order... more

Well, same comment as many others. Sweet little place along R66 very close to dt Williams and to the GC train (no noises). Breakfast is great so are the contacts with other guests. Also clean and the owner does everything to make things comfortable. Don't expect large rooms or luxury but that's not the reason to stay here. Prices hardly... more

The Grand Motel in Williams is a perfect stop along route 66. My girlfriend and I stopped here for one night on our way to the Grand Canyon. We loved it. For the price you will not beat it. We stayed in the "Route 66" room. The room is basic but clean. The furninture is vintage and in surprisingly good... more
