We booked this hotel as a package deal which included a 2-night stay, room with 2 beds, train ride to the Grand Canyon and their buffet (2 dinners/2 breakfasts). We cannot recommend this tour. This was booked and paid months in advance. Had I known then what I know now, we would never had booked this package. #1: The train... more

This is a nice hotel, very clean and roomy. We rode the train to and from the Grand Canyon and it was very comfortable and enjoyable. The only negative thing about this hotel is the food. The buffet is terrible. We had vouchers for dinner and for breakfast and neither were good. The quality was poor and the choices need... more

We stayed here on a package, room, meals, train, tour of canyon. Best thing I can say about here it is across from train depot. Rooms were clean. TV choices were very limited local channel telling you about Williams and a few other channels and supposely they had cable. The room was no better than you would find at a... more

We stayed at the motel as part of the train package that rode us to the rim, and back from the inn two nights later. They were well staffed. The staff I encountered were very friendly and customer service oriented, without exception. One of the lobby clerks helped me print my boarding pass, and one staff member helped me get... more

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel's RV park. I have to say it was immaculate and very well run. No picnic tables or fire pits at the individual sites, but there is a community area for barbecues. Bathrooms were clean. The only downside to our experience was the money thrown away on the inedible buffet. YUCK. This was the... more

We purchased the combo package for the Grand Canyon Railway, which included two nights at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel (one before the train ride and one after) plus the train trip to the Grand Canyon and back. This package also included breakfast each morning and dinner in the evenings (2 of each). Based on some reviews we were wondering... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel for 3 nights beginning April 30th - May 2, 2009. We found the hotel to be clean and in a great location; it's 60 miles south of the Grand Canyon. However, the best part is the train that takes you up to the southern rim of the canyon on... more

Staying with a large group and everyone had some sort of problem... from the toliets broken, air conditoners not working right, to the 4 tv stations. There was one thing we all could agree on, just how terrible the dinner food was. Staying with a large group is convinet if you want to be able to talk through the paper... more

With such great potential, this place fell well short of most of our expectations. As a hotel affiliated with the train to the Grand Canyon, we expected a family friendly place. What we got was a bargain basement hotel with little ammenities and more frustration than value. The place lacked basic services such as: cable TV (been down for months,... more

We stayed here for 3 nights with our girls ages 10 and 12. The room was a basic hotel room. Nothing fancy but clean and well kept. There are only local stations on the TV which was an issue for both the girls and my husband who wanted to watch the Master's golf tournament. Also the TV;s are not digital... more
