My wife, 4 year old, and I chose this hotel for its fairly reasonable price and its proximity to the Grand Canyon. Here are some things we liked about this hotel. It is about a 15 minute drive to the south entrance to the canyon. If you prefer not to drive you can also take the canyon shuttles into the... more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in the motel part where pets are allowed. We could not sleep at all because the ceiling above us creaked all night as if a really heavy person were pacing back and forth over and over. A call to the front desk did nothing-so we had to make our 13 hour... more

This hotel was perfect for our purpose, i.e, like everyone else's, to explore the Grand Canyon. It's large, the rooms are fine, as is the service. It's just outside the national park, and much more reasonable than the hotels inside. There's a good restaurant next door, which can be reached on foot, and several others that can also be walked... more

Stayed for 1 night. A short drive to the rim. It was clean and simple. Nice staff. Just fine for a night or 2. Just what I would have expected for the price. Pool and hot tub area are closed in the fall. The hot tub would have been nice, but, oh well! The on site restaurant was great for... more

Booked a room at the Red Feather Lodge for our quick trip to the Grand Canyon before heading to Sedona. We drove a long way from the Bay Area and arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. I called the hotel in advance to let them know, and it wasn't a problem at all. In fact, the... more

The room was big, OK clean, but not spotless - we had a few hair different places in the bathroom, and the hair dryer was filled with hair, not nice... Free healthy breakfast. The reception didn't mention breakfast, only after asking we get coupons for it. No eggs and bacon, but many other good things. 2 kinds of bread, croissants,... more

We stayed here to be close to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, and it's only 5 minutes from there. The hotel was ok, the breakfast was acceptable and the rooms were really clean. I do remember the bed, which were really comfortable. The only remark is that it's a little bit overpriced in my opinion, which would probably... more

My brother and I were driving across country so we simply needed a convenient place to sleep and rest. We splurged a little bit to stay close to the Grand Canyon and it was definitely worth it. Positives: 1) Free parking 2) Free WiFi 3) The Tusayan Cafe next door was great. We had dinner and breakfast there and were... more

We stayed at the RFL for 3 nights during a hiking trip to the GC. The location is great - about a 5 minute drive to the entrance of the park, with a handful of restaurants around. Our room was in the 1st floor of the motel (the property also has a newer hotel, which seemed much nicer altough more... more
