On approaching the hotel we were excited as this was our one "luxury" hotel on our 3 week stay in USA. I agree with previous reviews on the following: Rooms feel grubby - they need a good clean. Old can be fine but it must be spotless. Bathroom towels should all be ditched. Grey and threadbare was our experience. Bed... More

I thought that overall the place was nice. It offers an average steakhouse that serves a good breakfast and dinner but unfortunately during the evening the restaurant had poor service and was terribly understaffed. For lunch you can see a smaller menu at the bar which also includes some decent food. The indoor swimming pool is a nice touch but... More

A couple of days before we arrived, I checked the trip advisor reviews and was concerned but I thought I'll take it as I find it and not rely on other people, however I have to say the negative reviews are accurate. The lobby area is reminiscent of a log cabin and quite attractive but not the rest of the... More

This is the exact review that I gave to The Grand Hotel when I received their survey. I relied so much on Trip Advisor when planning my vacation I felt it is important for me not to ignore bad experiences and only submit the good. So this was the one disappointment I’ve had thus far, I wish I had opted... More

As we entered this hotel it had the feel of a mountain lodge, very nice lobby and indoor pool area. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable, clean, modern and spacious. Plenty of storage space and even a separate computer desk. The wifi was very fast and reliable. Several restaurants and souvenir shops within walking distance.... More

An ageing millennial seriously in need of upating. The lobby area is still attractive and the staff is uniformly first rate, but a facility initially built on the cheap is not being maintained. It's sad because the restaurant is quite good and the staff deserves better.

I was very disappointed by this hotel when we arrived. It certainly does not warrant the price. I will say that the Saloon and restaurant were nice, but other than that, I wasn't a fan of this hotel. I won't be staying here again.

Stayed for 1 night. - wouldn't stay again. Pros - great location on shuttle bus route to GC Park Cons - needs major modernisation. Inferior outdated and run down. Cost was expressive for really why can only be described at best as a budget hotel.

We thought this was going to be a really awesome old hotel, with a lot of character and old charm. We found it to be maybe just a step better than a Travel Lodge or something similar. It was clean, there were good amenities (jacuzzi, shampoos and soaps, etc), it had a restaurant (meh - not so bad/not so great,... More

This is one of the worst hotel experiences that I've had and extremely expensive. The room was okay but for $350 it should at least be very nice. I'm handicapped and the door to the bathroom opened in the wrong direction so you couldn't get a wheelchair through. I had to ask for a shower bench and then how to... More
