I do not normally leave feedback but feel I have to mention how disappointed we were with this hotel. It cost more a night than the Bellagio fountain view room in Vegas. But the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. The following night we stayed at the Angel lodge in the Grand Canyon which was a... More

Enjoy the beauty and majesty of the Grand Canyon and only go there to take a quick shower and sleep. The staff's hospitality and marketing skills seem to originate from the post war 1950's Soviet Union. The location is super convenient just 5 miles outside the park near a dirty and highly visited McDonalds, a holiday inn express and the... More

We were looking forward to good food and beverages after a long day of traveling and site seeing. We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and loved the live music! The cowboy musician was very talented! We were very disappointed with the service and quality of food. The waitress was too busy schmoozing her 2 other tables to pay any... More

As other reviewers have said, the rooms are basic but they are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Yes, there are a couple of faceless chain hotels over the road but you can stay in a Holiday Inn anywhere in the world and you'll miss out on the 'hunting lodge' charm of the Grand. The lobby is... The Grand Hotel is one of about six hotel options in Tusayan, all of which appeared pretty average. Because the hotel is seven miles from the entrance to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, you are paying a steep price (about 300/night in July 2014) basically for a very prime location. Quaint town with about 10 dining options (including... More

I wish I had done my homework and researched before booking this place. I admit I waited until the last minute to book this hotel a week prior to our visit to the Grand Canyon; but nonetheless, I was very disappointed. I would not mind paying $250 per night if it were worth it...this one wasn't. This hotel room was... More

Way overpriced! The rooms are so tiny. We thought we would have a bigger room because we got the deluxe. Apparently that just means you get a tiny patio that is in the parking lot. Bathroom is not updated. The lobby is very nice but the rooms are not. We did eat at the restaurant and it was very good,... More

It looks good in the pictures and given the price, you'd expect it to be, but it's simply not the case. As others have noted, the property is not well maintained at all. The hallway carpeting should be your first clue. Dirty, worn. The rooms look nice, but again, the furniture shows excessive wear. Our toilet seat didn't even come... More

I look for cleanliness, comfort, location. This hotel, despite the very high price, had the location which was at the entrance to the Grand Canyon. I did not find it to be particularly well maintained except in the main lobby areas. Not horrible but I have stayed at far cheaper rooms that were in much better shape. Next time I... More

I booked late and this was the only available hotel so I figured I'd splurge. I have stayed at 'Grand Hotels' at other locations and it was great. This one is horrible. It is dirty. The hallway carpet is particularly bad. The room doors barely close and as you walk down the hallway, you can see the warped door jambs.... More
