This place ticks all the 'average' boxes. The rooms are OK - in fairness they are clean. The restaurant is huge but the food very mediocre. It's in the town of Tusuyan which seems to be the last town before you enter the Grand Canyon NP at the south rim. The town is a small place which serves the tourists... More

Without even looking, I’m sure there are more reviews with titles like “Not So Grand.” There is actually nothing wrong with The Grand Hotel. The rooms are pleasant, well enough appointed and comfortable and the staff is fine. It’s just that with that kind of name, and those kinds of prices, you expect more. But pickings are slim around the... More

Prices for rooms in the Grand Canyon area are high because of the market demand. What you get from The Grand Hotel, is a large motel with a restaurant/bar attached. The rooms themselves are large, comfortable, with a desk, a long counter with a modern coffee machine, tub shower, good towels. The beds were comfortable with large firm pillows, and... More

From my research before our holiday it seemed like this was a good option to stay in for when the actual Park is full. And I think it is. Hotel is clean and has big bedrooms. Small indoor pool which is great for the kids to cool off in at the end of the day. Free wifi and good sized... More

My husband booked this hotel through the National Park Service website. It is run by Xanterra, the company that runs many, if not all of the hotels in the park. We thought the price was high but expected a high end hotel based on the photos we saw. Especially the lobby. The lobby looked very nice and rustic. We didn't... More

Hotel room good slept well although some pillows and sheets had yellow stains on them; they smelt clean however. The restaurant was not good with half an hour before they even took the drinks order. The food was just ok but nothing special. My NY Strip steak had a layer of fat around it although on the menu it did... More

We stayed in the Grand hotel for 1 night and the room was OK, though quite overpriced from my POV. The largest downside was the restaurant, that offered a good food with a looong waiting time. The most disappointing it has been in the morning, when it took 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order, and than another... More

This hotel is way overpriced for the quality! Rooms are in desperate need of an update! Towels and washcloths are a dingy white, old and frayed, one towel had a hard black something on it and the washcloth was stained. The shower curtain liner was stained as well. There is no microwave or mini fridge, which is expected these days,... More

The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were nice, also the lobby is large with a fireplace. The hotel is dirty. The carpets are filthy, the rooms are dark with stained furniture upholstry and the bed & bath linens were a dingy grey. It was not a comfortable stay. There are several other hotels right in the... The hotel is beautiful on the outside and even the inside is lovely. We climbed into bed late, exhausted from our long day and were pleased with the soft comfy bed. The light on the night stand was broken so the room was dimly lit, but all appeared clean. In the morning light we were disgusted to see thread bare,... More
