This hotel is large and competent, but it's nothing special. Its major benefit is how close it is to the Grand Canyon Park entrance gate. Check-in was efficient, although the person who checked us in gave us a property map and showed us where to park to get to our room (which involved parking, entering a side door, and walking... The staffs were very nice and informative. Unfortunately, the hotel is not maintained as properly. It was very hard to find where the registration is. There was a small sign but not at all indicative so we had to spend 30min to figure out after a tired day. There is no bar at the bathtub that I can hold on... More

We had an overnight stop into the Grand Canyon and needed something easy. The front desk staff were very helpful regarding information and passes for the Grand Canyon. Our room was huge and while it felt like "motel" it was a good motel. Great bed which was a surprise - lots of space to organize backpacks, hiking gear. Parking was... More

Spent a night here whilst recently visiting the Grand Canyon. Reception service poor - long wait and seemed more interested in ensuring payment than providing a service. Hotel is large and appears dated - Our room was clean and tidy but was showing signs of aging- bathroom towels and sheets had a much used feel to them. Also had lots... More

The proximity of this hotel to the Grand Canyon is it's only redeeming point. We were greeted , after a long hot drive, by a reception clerk who was taciturn and had no interest in us..he gave us a ground floor room...the only plus point of this is that you don't have to carry bags up stairs...we had a 'delightful... The location was very convenient to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Room was dated and bathroom could have been cleaner. Restaurant was not very good but several bus loads of tourists seem to enjoy the buffet. We ordered off the menu and the prime rib was over cooked and the cheeseburger was awful.

Our room was dirty. TV was broke and paint coming off the walls. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The grounds were filled with litter and old items the hotel did not use anymore. The whole hotel smelled of chlorine. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is located well, walking distance to the few basic shops and restaurants, and a 10 minute easy drive to the Grand Canyon main entrance. (Canyon views and buses are another 5 minute drive after that - very easy and well organised by National Parks.) Our King suite was clean and spacious. Two vanity sink areas. Microwave and refrig.... The concierges Grand Canyon Jack and Grand Canyon Rich were the highlights of this visit. Both gave perfect advice for Canyon tours - sunset & day tours. Rich even told us to stop at Snow Cap & take Rt. 66 back to Vegas. Perfect trip advice. Helped us to avoid Canyon walk -- expensive tourist trap. Hotel was comfortable. Buy... More

Clean spacious, comfortable (not fancy) rooms. Very slow internet. Be prepared to have to park fairly far from your room. Thanks to the large number of negative reviews, we're keeping our exchanges with the hotel to a minimum.

Thank you for recommending the Canyon Plaza Resort when visiting the Grand Canyon. We did have a problem with our free internet one day last week and had it reset. It has worked fine since having it reset. We apologize for the problem you encountered. Thank you again for taking time to review our property and recommend it to others... More
