The hotel is in a fantastic location for visiting the Grand Canyon National Park, but boy, do you pay for it! Pretty average rooms and everything worked OK, so no real complaints, just that the quality doesn't reflect the price. There is Wendy's and McDonalds nearby for a cheap breakfast as the hotel breakfast is expensive.

I did not plan ahead for a quick vacation to the Grand Canyon so ended up booking this place . It is difficult to find & signage is poor. The front desk staff were friendly. The room was 1970 decor but it was very clean but this is a very old hotel & I didn't like being there. The double... More

This hotel is not a resort. We had to change our plans so we paid $250 to get a room.. outrageous . Their dinner buffet $27. Trees inside bar area and indoor spa with leaves everywhere. Computer to use in lobby you have to pay. Rooms quite small. I would not recommend staying here

Rooms were clean and livable. When we arrived the young lady at the front desk did an outstanding job with about 6 people in line. The night manager did nothing to help her, other than occasionally looking over her shoulder. Breakfast was OK, but could have been better. For the money, in the area, I would stay there again.

Where to begin... From our room facing south, to get to the restaurant, lounge, or lobby, you have to walk outside and around the corner and back inside. Our room has a balcony, which aces the inside of the hotel, which makes no sense. The buffet is full of fried food and has little or no healthy options. I don't... More

This (title) is the reason we stayed. The hotel was just a base for the night. That being said, however, it still didn't really shine for us. Front desk staff member who checked us in wasn't terribly helpful about places around town and details of the park, but did organise the National Park permit you need to visit the canyon.... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the Canyon Plaza Resort. The rooms are a bit outdated, but gives you that feel of being on a family vacation when you were a kid. Has the feel of a lodge but the comforts of a hotel. Bed were very comfortable, food at the restaurant was good, staff were very friendly. Can't beat... More

The hotel is shabby and not very welcoming, only used this hotel as all other hotels were full. My advice don't bother unless your desperate. The buffet breakfast go somewhere else the charge for the buffet doesn't include toast an added extra. These people so called running the hotel need to employ some professionals for advice

I only booked this place because it was close to the Canyon and I got a good rate. I wanted to stay IN the park but everything was booked or very expensive for our needs. The hotel itself is set back behind a big theatre complex so it can be tricky to find. There's a sign there out front but... More
