Was in here the other day, was nice looking, food was ok but it was very expensive. They brought over the bill before I'd finished eating and when I looked at it I got charged for service which was non-existent. The whole place screams "Pay!" When you compare it to other places around it's just not worth the money.

Extremely relaxing with lay down couch and Coffee table style. Delectable flavours and a hearty portion for a reasonable price. We shared the Israeli combo felafel between two and were completely satisfied. Great retreat from the busy streets. Do it!

I really like this place, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is so relaxed and chill. You can swim or just enjoy the lake from the pool at the end of the hostel. The only bad thing is that they don't take reservations in advance, you have to arrive there to see if they have space to sleep there.... More

The hostel has a good view of lake atitlan but you can hardly make friends here in this hostel because everyone seem to be altogether in a small group. The food is expensive compare to outside. local staff was friendly but not the others.

My brother and I stayed here two nights and the room had a bunk bed in it and a dresser, the mattresses were nasty and the room smelt like mold! Really badly, by the second night I got a fever and sore throat , not sure if it's related, but after switching hostels I got better within a day, I... More

Our private room had bedbugs. My wife got bitten. The bedbugs seem to like her. The room was OK (not great) otherwise. Public areas are great, food was wonderful, service OK. If they can clean up the bedbugs I would recommend this hotel for people who put little value on the room and a high value on the public amenities... More

The chill area in the hostel is arranged in a way that you don't really socialize with others. Small tables, with carpets around them, which makes people sit in closed groups. Wouldn't recommend it to anybody who is traveling by himself. I left the hostel pretty quick due to the fact that the rooms were infested!!! (never seen anything like... More

Well located, cool music all day long with an active bar and gacuzzi on the roof. I had a great time. The owner is young and nice and the prices are good. Above all the rooms are clean and the bads are comfortable

The slight disappointment for us was that the pool was being refurbed. However, we had a drink and some food and both were good. Falafel, cauliflower and some dips to go with. All homemade and all lovely. A really chilled atmosphere too, just lazing on the lounge pillows.

Zoola is a class act of a hostel. Although the rooms are very basic, they completely serve their purpose. Zoola's chill out areas are second to none, with a chill-out lounge style cafe which serves awesome Israeli style food and smoothies - although you might have to wait a while to be served! Beyond here, there is a wicked bar... More
