The view from the hotel is stunning!! Its very peacfull and relaxing. The room is pretty simple but combine everything one need with amazing private terrace to the lake. There is a small nice pool for tunning and reading although the water is a bit dirty with bugs. The stuff and the owners are very nice and helpful. Food is... More

What more can I say than the long way up is TOTALLY worth every step! All 350 of them! The moment we reached the final step and took a look at the surrounding view our breaths were instantly taken away and it wasn't b/c of the steps. This was my 7th time to Lake Atitlan and the best view yet!... More

We only had an opportunity to stay one night due to a tour we booked. But the one night was wonderful for the four of us (separate rooms but style/setup similar). Although the room décor is simple, the room is very large and everything is clean and comfortable. Incredible views from your bed or your personal patio with chairs/table. The... More

I can say it was the best 5 nights of my guatemala trip! Unless you have a heart condition, the 300+steps is really not as daunting as it sounds. A Sherpa came and took your luggage up for you (please tip them. They're doing you a real favor). You can take all day to get up or race up. Doesn't... More

A spot of paradise in lake Atitlan, a remote location, not easy to get to but worth all the effort. Do expect extreme efforts, steep rise to the top of the "Loma" were the hotel lies. It is secluded and far away from cities... Just what one needs to really disconnect from the hectic day to day. No internet in... More

The hotel is located in the north part of lake Atitlan, in one of the districts of Santa Cruz de la Laguna and not in the city itself. It can be reached by public boat on the pier on the right side of Panajachel pier or at San Pedro pier. However, there will be some offers of false public boats... More

We stayed 3 nights at Lomas de Tzununa on a two week tour of Guatemala and Belize with Imagine Latin America. Without doubt, the hotel has the best views of this spectacular lake, we enjoyed watching the sun rise over the inky water and later we saw it set over the distant volcanoes, turning the sky and water a beautiful... We stayed there for part of our honeymoon, and it is the most relaxing place on Atitlan lake. There was no parties, no noise, no busy streets, no vendors, nothing more than an amazing view of the lake, and good food. All the rooms have a balcony that looks to the lake and the 3 volcanoes. No TV or wifi... More
