Fab views, lovely staff. Good deal with their evening meal. The manager went out or his way to create a veggie option for me one evening as nothing seemed available. Good sized rooms with charming garden area.

We felt so welcomed at Arca de Noe. It's a perfect spot with stunning lake views and beautifully maintained flowers everywhere. The rooms were immaculate, the bed very comfortable, the shower hot. Although there were other options, we dined at the hotel almost every meal because the food was excellent. It was easy to walk along the shore to go... More

The food is good and the place is nice. They have WiFi which my place did not have, so I used to have breakfast there. One day I decided to have dinner there with friends. You have to sign up two hours in advance. When I did and was about to leave, suddenly the indigenous lady came and asked for... More

Initially we were a little bit concerned by the lack of restaurants and bars in this part of the lake and though we might have been better off in San Pedro or Pana. However having seen all of the towns around the lake we realised that there is no other place where you can wake up to the most amazing... More

We were amazed with the location, right off the public dock at Santa Cruz la Laguna, which made travel to and from very easy. The new owner has done quite a bit of work with the property, managing beautiful gardens and updating the bungalows. We were in Bungalow 3 and have to say we think it was the best view... More

I've found it difficult to get a good night's sleep in Guatemala, with stray dogs barking, motorcycles, and fireworks going off at all hours of the night. This is not the case in Santa Cruz, however, as it's cut off from the rest of the world (no road access). The hotel is a set of little bungalos on the side... More

The rooms are pretty basic but comfortable enough, and the location is nice being right next to the lake. What makes this place really special, though, is the staff. So welcoming and friendly and not just in a buisnesslike way. The meal we ate here was really fantastic and worth the relatively high price for Guatemalan standards. Probably the best... More

Stunning views of Lago Atitlan, swimming opportunities from the hotel's pontoon. A peaceful, friendly place run by local people who want you to enjoy your time with them. Great memories are made of places like this.

Hotel is in a steep decline since I visited back in the mid-90's. Very dingy rooms, need major cleaning and updating. Towels are thin and badly stained. Dinners were just OK. My roomie got extremely ill from food poisoning because she foolishly ate the tomatoes served. She also got a bad case of bed bug bites because she kept her... More

Out of the four places that I stayed while in Guatemala, this was by far the best. The rooms at the Arca de Noe are what would be considered a cottage in Canadian terms. They are wonderfully decorated, have an amazing view, well-maintained and the staff is incredible. I stayed in B3 from November 11th through to 16, 2014 and... More
