Accommodations are great, location could be better. The hotel is not directly on the beach. We stayed in the suite, great view and a wonderful terrace. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, polite, and a pleasure to talk with. You can't go wrong staying here, only down side is that it is not on the water.

This place is paradise. It's an excellent place to relax and forget about the world. Just sit back and have an excellent cup of coffee and enjoy your surroundings. The dinners are AMAZING and abundant. I enjoy eating and I definitely enjoyed myself. Homemade bread for breakfast and dinner. Nathalie and the rest of the staff were absolutely excellent. Missing... We stayed in the only suite which has the only view of all the rooms. The view is incredible, the service with Nathalie as a host more than perfect and the food was great and still reasonable priced. Because of it's charm and overall great value around the lake, we even extended our stay for some more days. If you... More

If you are looking for a place off the tourist routes come to Jaibalito. This is the perfect place to relax and get a good local feeling of the lake and its Mayan people. Great location off the tourist routes (Pena, San Pedro) Great food as well as as good vibes form the awesome owner Gustav as well as his... More

This place is truly a gem. The lodge is fantastic and Walter, the 14 year old cook knows how to present an unforgettable culinary experience to delight anyone's appetite. The lodge is a well kept inn with beautiful gardens and the nicest owner and staff imaginable. The location is great for hanging out at Ven Aca and enjoying their restaurant,... More

Great spot tucked away in Jaibalito. Exotic cactus garden. Great food. Great view. Huge rooms with Wi-fi. 5 minute walk from a restaurant with a pool and hot tub. There is also a beautiful hiking trail to Santa Cruz that starts in front of the lodge.

In January 2014 we came to Vulcano Lodge for three nights, stayed twelve and returned in March for another four nights before going home to England. Of all the places during our two months travelling around Guatemala, Southern Mexico and Belize, this gem of a small hotel was our favourite. To walk up the winding path through the beautiful, calm... More

So, i'm going in to my last night at Vulcano Lodge.. And I don't want to leave. Feeling kinda sad about it. This little place is so charming and beautiful! The suite has the most amazing view over the lake and the vulcanos, and it feels unreal! The staff is so welcoming and makes you feel really at home. They... More

Stopped in Jaibalito for the day and ended up having lunch at here. Very peaceful and secluded location. Would love to come back and stay in one of the rooms sometime. The views from the balconies were amazing.

Our stay at Vulcano Lodge was amazing. We had a really good time her from beginning til end. The first two nights we lived in the suite, wich was incredible. The view from here over the lake and vulcanos was beautiful. Then we moved down to a smaller room, where we lived in the garden, wich was also really nice.... More
