David and his wife are fantastic. She cooks all the meals and they are all really tasty. Very remote, quite experience. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was nice, removed from the main property, but hot.

It was so exciting to be picked up from my flight, slightly bare knuckled, taken to a boat and then whisked around the coast to fabulous beach to be welcomed by Juan. I loved this place and it was a highlight of my trip. Tucked away in the Corcovado NP, it was such a friendly lodge and I had my... More

I wanted to find accommodations in a place that was comfortable yet a bit rustic in an off-the-beaten path kind of area. I thought Las Caletas fit the bill perfectly! The place is run very efficiently by a small team of laid-back yet dedicated staff and owners who find the right balance of attending to their guests' needs while letting... More

We stayed here for 4 days in February 2014 in the Honeymoon Cabin. The Honeymoon Cabin sat on top of the hill overlooking the ocean. the view was just beautiful. We had parrots and scarlet mccaws, toucans flying in and around the trees everywhere. This place was amazing and very peaceful. The staff was wonderful and the owner David was... More

We stayed for a week in a duplex. Loved everything. First, the ever helpful staff and owners, we took every recommendation they gave, all turned out excellent.aside from that, the remote location, eco attitude, lovely place in nature, good beach, great food, activities around all were just what we wanted and more.

I recently visited accompanying clients for the travel company I work for. Great location, further south of the more developed Drake Bay area, so I enjoyed the remoteness. The place was at capacity and even so, it was a pretty relaxed environment without too much commotion. I can tell David (manager) ran a tight ship and services were rendered on-time.... More

My husband and I just returned from our Honeymoon to Drake's Bay where we spent 4 nights of our trip at Las Caletas. This was, indeed, my favorite spot. We loved out tent cabin, nestled up against the rainforest, where we were awoken by Howler monkeys right outside our tent. Las Caletas is nestled in a very special and sacred-feeling... More

Stayed in the honeymoon suite which was a simple bungalow, bedroom upstairs, bathroom downstairs with a nice hammock area. We were woken up (in a good way!) by monkeys in our trees, howling monkeys yelling, scarlet macaws squawking, and tons of birds chirping. A true jungle experience. David is very helpful and got us a last minute trip to Corcovado... More

I went in Las Caletas in July 2013 and I was sure I will come back ! One week in this peaceful and wonderful place; nice renovated " Rana " room, comfortable armchairs, super staff and fabulous well- prepared food. Eating meals with people coming all over the world is a nice experience. Surroundings offer wide possibilities to do great... More

We took the road to Drake Bay as there was some worry about the boat ride and it was so worth the drive! The view and adventure was brilliant! There were a few rivers to cross but there are locals that will advise you as to the best way through. None of them was dangerous! The people along the way... More
