My husband and I, along with two friends, stayed at Jaguar's Jungle for 4 nights at the beginning of our two week vacation throughout Costa Rica. (End of April-May). All of Costa Rica was amazing but the four of us agreed that staying here was the highlight. I had made reservations to stay here beforehand, and although the reservation process... More

FIrst off, I have to say I hate to say much bad, largely in part to Suzanne, the infamous "Leo"s mom who was a lovely warm kind woman. Unfortunately for me, she has been left on her own with a handful of 20 something volunteers to run the place. I understand there are certain logistical difficulties that can not be... More

We stayed at Jaguar's Jungle for 3 nights at a private room with shared bathroom (shower with ocean view!). Jaguar's Jungle is a unique place situated at the border of Corcovado National Park. To get there we took a boot from Sierpe. The first part takes you along a river at a very high speed. At the end of the... More

We were at Jaguar Jungle two nights in January/15 and loved the whole experience. We hiked in from Drake Bay and that in itself was an experience (walking thru the jungle, crossing a river, playing in the waves along a beautiful beach and then trekking thru some primary jungle until we finally made it to the hostal). We stayed in... More

We emailed jaguar's jungle to see if they have two beds in their dorm for us but they said it was full but we could sleep in a tent. Fine we thought.. When we arrived we didn't get any information, they just showed us our tent, which wasn't in best shape. Then we were going to check in the hostel... More

If you like nature, private beaches, romantic candle-lit evenings, beautiful hiking trails, and friendly attentive staff and volunteers, then you'll love Jungla del Jaguar. Nestled right next to the world famous Corcovado National Park, this jungle hostel is perfect for couples, solo travelers, friends, and even families! Leo is a very hands-on owner, and will go out of his way... More

If you enjoy camping or are considering an overnight trip in the Corcovado Rainforest, this may be the place for you. It's definitely a step up from camping, but it is still basic. There's little electricity, light inside the main house or hot water, so it never get's all that clean. But you enjoy camping, right? The cabins (2) are... More

There are 2 amazing ranger stations in Corcovado National Park. Sirena, secondary jungle with lots of animal life, and San Pedrillo, the best primary jungle experience.. Leo's property boarders the San Pedrillo Ranger Station so it doesn't take much of a walk from your bedroom to feel like humans never existed. Incredible location with very friendly and helpful volunteer staff..... More

As a couple with a 10 year old girl, this place was absolutely perfect for us! The boat ride in was an experience itself (be prepared for 2 hours and $30pp each way). The accommodation was very simple (beds with mosquito nets, separate shower), but it gave the place a feeling of actually being in the jungle. We brought our... More

Stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our time. Nicole prepared amazing meals for us, and Leo helped with a lot of local questions. Some of our food got stolen out of the cupboard by a menacing coati, but that's living in the jungle! I would have wished for a bit more "upselling" - tours, drinks, etc, but we enjoyed the... More
